The 2013 edition of Aluminium China is set to attract over 450 international exhibitors from 30 countries, representing the entire aluminium value chain including raw materials, semi-finished/finished products, production and processing machinery and accessories. This reputable conference regularly attracts association leaders from all over the world and strives to promote the concepts of a lightweight and green aluminum industry as well as to increase awareness of aluminum utilization in different application industry sectors. Alcoa, the world's leading producer of aluminium predicts that China’s aluminium demand is set to outpace forecasts and grow by 11% in 2013 to 23 million tons as the country’s new investments begin to take effect. Continued spending on large infrastructure projects, combined with domestic economy stimulus plans led to improved growth in the Chinese economy in Q4 of 2012 to 7.9% and industrial production to 10.3%. At the same time, local automotive production grew 6.3% YoY to 20.6 million units in 2012. Strong consumption growth was recorded in China and the US at the end of 2012, a trend that has continued into 2013.
