Give2Asia Partners To Support Vulnerable People Across Asia

Mar. 20, 2013 – SAN FRANCISCO — Today, Give2Asia, a 501(c)3 social enterprise dedicated to supporting local organizations in 23 countries across Asia, announces eight new fiscal sponsorship partners in five countries across Asia. Our newest partners provide education, shelter, employable skills training and much more to vulnerable communities across Asia.

Give2Asia is a fiscal sponsorship partner to over 150 local Asian organizations, helping those charities to receive support and expand networking with donors in the United States.

Action for India
Action for India helps social innovators in India overcome barriers to scale to achieve greater impact on the Bottom of the Pyramid (BoP). Started in 2012 by Sam Pitroda, adviser to the Prime Minister of India and Chairman of the National Innovation Council of India, Action for India works with impact investors, mentors and technology experts worldwide to scale market-based solutions. Eastern Tibet Training Institute
Founded in 2005, The Eastern Tibet Training Institute (ETTI) addresses educational and vocational gaps in rural areas of Eastern Tibet. The economy of Southwestern China is changing rapidly, and many rural ethnic minorities are ill equipped to take advantage of the opportunities. ETTI provides vocational training that responds to market needs and educational tools to face social and environmental challenges. ETTI also seeks to positively influence local approaches to vocational training by working closely with governmental institutions. Keio University
Founded in 1858, Keio University was the first private institution of higher learning in Japan. Keio’s mission is to develop leaders in every professional and academic field to make valuable contributions to society. Many anniversary events are scheduled to take place in the coming years, and various funding programs have recently been established to build upon past academic achievements to become a prominent global education and research institution. KoRoot
KoRoot is a guest house for internationally adopted adults who have returned to Korea. Adopted adults and their guests enjoy low-cost accommodations, western breakfasts, and Korean lunches in Seoul’s historic center. Conveniently located near palaces, museums, a traditional food market, and a traditional arts and crafts street, KoRoot is a vibrant community space for adopted people, single mothers and their children, families of origin, and their allies. Mitraniketan
Since 1956, Mitraniketan has worked to help struggling communities in India break the cycle of poverty, exploitation, and lack of opportunities by providing development-related education projects to disadvantaged children, youth, women and marginalized farmers. Its work has had powerful impacts over the decades, and today Mitraniketan’s work in supporting community development and individual empowerment is a model to other NGOs around the world. Sir Shapurji Billimoria Foundation
Sir Shapurji Billimoria Foundation (SSBF) promotes inclusive education for India’s 25 million children with special needs. The organization is based on the premise that “all children are special” irrespective of their ability or disability, disadvantage or privilege. SSBF offers a two-year diploma in Integrated Education that is recognized by the Government of India and highlighted by UNICEF. Teach for Japan
Teach for Japan recruits talented and ambitious young people to become effective and inspiring teachers and leaders. Teach for Japan helps all children, regardless of their region, type of school, or socio-economic circumstances to have access to quality education. Teach for the Philippines
Teach for the Philippines is a professional, non-government civil society organization that enlists the Philippines’ most promising future leaders in its mission to end education inequality. The Teach for the Philippines program is a two-year, full-time leadership development program modeled after the extremely successful Teach for America initiative.
