More ICT products for cloud applications to be launched at 2013 COMPUTEX TAIPEI

TAIPEI -( ASIA TODAY )- the Taipei Computer Association (TCA) and the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), the organizers of COMPUTEX TAIPEI, held a joint pre-show press conference.

Mr. Walter Yeh, executive vice president of TAITRA said this year's COMPUTEX TAIPEI will give participants a brand new experience, and that more new products than in the previous shows will be launched onsite.

"The 2013 COMPUTEX TAIPEI exhibition will gather 1,700 exhibitors, use 5,000 booths, and span TWTC Hall 1, 3, Nangang Hall and TICC. Further, this year's exhibition added new pavilions such as American Pavilion, organized by America Institute in Taiwan (AIT), pavisions for Hong Kong, Korea and other countries. These new pavilions are located at the Nangang Hall." added Walter Yeh.

In his briefing about this year's COMPUTEX exhibition, Mr. Li Chang, the deputy secretary general of TCA, mentioned that there are at least 400 companies on the waiting list. Most Taiwanese companies want to unveil and showcase their latest products at COMPUTEX because this exhibition is an important launching pad and a gateway to the international markets.

2013 COMPUTEX TAIPEI will attract 40,000 buyers from around the world. By estimate, total procurement will amount to US$25 billion worth of ICT products, which is tantamount to one-fifth of Taiwan's total annual export.

Th themes of 2013 COMPUTEX TAIPEI are Cloud Technology and Services, Smart Mobility and Touch Enabled Applications, and the exhibition will start on June 4~8, 2013.
