The ninth edition of Paperworld China, a trading platform for the stationery and office supplies industry that connects the Chinese market with international markets, will be held from 25 – 27 September 2013 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, Shanghai, China.

Organised by Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd, the China Chamber of Commerce for I/E of Light Industrial Products & Arts-crafts and Guangzhou Foreign Trade South China Exhibition Corp Ltd, Paperworld China is regarded by buyers and exhibitors as China’s most international stationery and office supplies trade show.

Commenting on the value of China’s stationery market, Ms Fiona Chiew, Deputy General Manager for Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd said: “The Chinese stationery market accounts for around 8.6 percent of the global market and is valued at around USD 21.5 billion. This percentage and market value reflect the huge potential of the Chinese market. As an international industry show, Paperworld China is the ideal platform for companies wanting to enter the potential Chinese market.”

The increasing demand for quality products by China’s emerging middle class also offers potential for international suppliers to expand their business in China. One such supplier is Pilot, the famous Japanese pen brand who will be exhibiting at this year’s Paperworld China for the first time.

Mr Yokoi Hideo, Manager Director for Pilot Pen (Shenzhen) Co Ltd said: “The Chinese market has very good potential. People are now looking for good and quality things. It gives us a good chance for a long term development.” Pilot is planning to showcase its new autumn and winter products. “I hope our existing clients and end users can enjoy and explore more of our product features at the show,” Mr Hideo added.

Eagle, a leading brand in the Chinese stationery and office supplies market, has participated in Paperworld China for nine times. The company is going to display a wide range of products for both offices and schools that cater the needs of domestic and international market. Mr Chan Siu Leung, Chairman for the company, commented on the show. He said: “The motivation of returning to the show every year is to meet domestic and international visitors.”
The 2013 show will feature more than 500 domestic and international suppliers in an exhibition area of around 24,600 sqm. They will display various products and technologies including office supplies, printers, IT accessories, consumables, writing instruments, school supplies, artist supplies and gift articles.

In addition, invited exhibitors can display their products in the Interactive DIY Zone which gives visitors a chance to interact with products and new technologies on a one-on-one basis.
