Test Rides of Electric Vehicles on Public Day
(Hong Kong, 27 October 2012) The seventh edition of Eco Expo Asia opens at AsiaWorld-Expo today, with test rides of electric vehicles on offer for the public on the public day tomorrow (28 October 2012).
Organised by the HKTDC and Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd., the Eco Expo Asia will run through 30 October 2012 and will open to the general public tomorrow (10am-6pm). Secretary for the Environment Wong Kam-sing officiated at the opening ceremony of the Expo today.
The Expo’s public day tomorrow will offer test rides of mini-commercial electric vehicles from DongFeng Motor, as well as a Green Mart and a series of forums and workshops.
With “Green Tech for a Low Carbon Economy” as the theme, the Expo will showcase a variety of environmental protection innovations in nine thematic zones, including the new Air & Water Quality zone and the Eco-Excellence zone. Visitors can enjoy free shuttle bus service to and from Eco Expo Asia between AsiaWorld-Expo and Tung Chung, Hung Hom, Tsim Sha Tsui, Causeway Bay, Admiralty, Wan Chai and Mong Kok.
