BEIJING, May 20, 2013 -( ASIA TODAY )- China’s top offshore yard Offshore Oil Engineering Corporation (COOEC) and BMC China Exhibition announce the launch an international conference on modular fabrication technology and management.
Modularized fabrication of offshore projects has proven to be an efficient manufacturing model thanks to lower cost, better safety and quicker project execution times. The trend has been quickly extended to renewable energy, mining and other infrastructure projects. However, challenges are also obvious in terms of quality control, logistics, projects scheduling and operational coordination.
To be held on 11-13, August 2013 in the coastal city of Qingdao, Modular Fabrication Technology and Management (MFTM 2013) will look into key issues on project planning and design, resource optimization, projects execution, owner engagement and coordination among contractors, subcontractors and vendors.
To better facilitate the networking exercises, the organizers will put on a few satellite events, including post-conference social gatherings and golf tournament as well as survey trip to COOEC’s modern yard in Qingdao.
The event is expected to draw participation of more than 200 hundred delegates from oil and gas companies, service, technology and equipment providers as well as offshore project fabricators including Shell, Mott MacDonald, Leighton, Fluor, ALE, TWI Ltd, NACE International, ABB, CNOOC, Transocean, OGN Group to name only a few.
