Dubai – United Arab Emirates, July 14th 2013: Al Jazeera Children’s Channel (JCC), the leading pan-Arab media organization confirmed to be the Lead Sponsor for the Big Entertainment Show which will be held in Dubai on 18th and 19th of November 2013. The Big Entertainment Show (BES) is the largest show in the Middle East Region for media, TV content, character and brand licensing, game developing and publishing and many more. The BES is held in Dubai for the 6th consecutive year and embraces three specific events; the Dubai International Brand Licensing Fair, the Dubai World Game Expo and MYCONTENT.
For the past five years, the BES attracted more than 1000 companies from all over the world to network and interact with their peers from the MENA region. TV Broadcasters, game developers, investors and licensors from all parts of the world came for potential opportunities in the MENA Market, which is considered one of the biggest importing markets for this industry.
For the first time BES and JCC will join forces in emphasizing the importance of the Arabic content and offerings that support values and culture of Arab families across the MENA region, especially the use of modern and simplified classical Arabic. Namely, over the years, JCC has gained substantial experience by producing its own content and carefully selecting the rest from the best of the international market. At the same time, JCC has built a knowledge base through research, providing tremendous insight into Arab children’s requirements and behavior. Since this year the Big Entertainment Show will highlight the importance of this promising market and the need to develop quality Arabic content, partnership with JCC was confirmation of the common goals and strives.
On this occasion Rashed Al-Qurese Almarri, JCC’s Acting Director of Sales and Media Rights said “As a leading pan-Arab media organization JCC aims to reach Arab children and parents across the world, and we believe that supporting and participating at the industry events is imperative for the sustainable development of our business. The Big Entertainment Show is the leading entertainment content festival in MENA region, thus our collaboration is the result of our joint goals and endeavors. As a part of our business strategy JCC is responsible for licensing and merchandising of properties that are broadcast on JCC channels, and distribution of more than 2000 hours of education and entertainment original titles for children aged between 2 and 12 years old. The unique event combination of the Dubai International Brand Licensing Fair and MYCONTENT is ideal regional networking business platform that will additionally boost our visibility and impact in the children media industry.”
Tariq Al Madani, Managing Director at INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions said: “This is the first time the BES partners with JCC and I am certain that this collaboration will be a valuable addition to the show this year. JCC is regionally and internationally recognized media organization that develops content in simplified classical Arabic and such content responds to the needs of the market. In addition, I also find it very important for JCC to be present at the coming edition of the BES as it will open doors for them to meet other content providers in the region. BES will support JCC with their initiative to offer inspiring content across different platforms to children in the Arab world. In addition, the BES will enforce the JCC brand image and their educational programs in the market.”
JCC’s mission is to become the preferred children’s media experience provider in every Arab home and to deliver the most relevant and inspiring content across all platforms. JCC’s competitive content is intuitive and carefully selected to educate, entertain and influence a generation to think creatively while helping them to appreciate their roots and cultural heritage. These ideologies are not limited to what JCC produces in-house but will also influence content acquisitions, co-operations and partnerships. Therefore, JCC’s sponsorship of the Show is a testament to the value and the reputation of the BES, and the significance it has gained over the past five years.
The Big Entertainment Show is scheduled from the 18th - 19th of November this year at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. In addition to exhibition part and meetings, participants will have the opportunity to learn from the foreign experiences and the success stories during the event’s summit and educational sessions.
