Digital Health Days was kicked off at Stockholmsmässan in the presence of HRH Prince Daniel. Over 400 delegates and 50 journalists had registered for the conference, a clear sign of how much people are interested in developing the interface between IT on the one hand, and healthcare and life sciences research on the other.

"It's about improving people's quality of life and health with the help of innovation and technology. I see Stockholm Digital Health Days as an important meeting place where we can discuss joint solutions and ideas across global borders. We want Stockholm to become a world leader in this key field of research," says Stockholm Mayor Sten Nordin, who is the chairman of the conference's honorary committee.

"I am proud to be able to welcome so many interested people to Stockholmsmässan and Digital Health Days. The idea is for this to become a recurring annual meeting place, and judging from the high interest already in the first year, that goal will not be difficult to meet," says Stockholmsmässan CEO Patric Sjöberg.

Digital Health Days is organized by Stockholm Science City, Kista Science City, Stockholmsmässan, Stockholm Business Region Development and Stockholm’s Chamber of Commerce. The goal is to bring together and promote projects, businesses, entrepreneurs and initiatives that drive the digital development forward in health, but also in more traditional healthcare, health technology and the pharmaceutical industry.
