Tank Storage Asia will feature a number of new products launches. The event, taking place on 10 & 11 December 2013 at Singapore Expo, will showcase 80% more exhibitors than last year. Spanning the entire tank storage supply spectrum, many have revealed that they are using the free-to-attend exhibition as the place to launch new products to the massively important Asian market.

KLENCO (Singapore) Pte will launch its Idrojet KidExtractor and its latest NLB water jets. The Idrojet KidExtractor is ideal for cleaning heat exchanger equipment and pipes in the petro-chemical industries. NLB water jets offer up to 40,000 psi and are designed for the hardest industrial cleaning applications such as refinery, plant, reactor and tank cleaning.

Medway Corrosion Consultants is introducing MASCOAT thermal coatings. While widely used in the US, the coatings are new to the Asian tank storage market. Medway will share the experiences of US users. For instance the constant build-up of corrosion under insulation meant Los Angeles-based, Shell Refining had to replace a heat exchanger’s substrate and insulation on a regular basis. Mascoat Industrial-DTI has eliminated this problem. The substrate, before application of DTI, was measured at 200°F. After application the surface temperature of the exchanger was measured at 100°F, well within personnel protection limits.

Vacono has developed a lightweight stainless steel full contact floating cover which not only guarantees an even lower vapour emission level but is also compatible with virtually all products stored. Its unique design meets all the requirements as laid down in API 650 App.H and it can be fitted with a variety of seals, including a mechanical shoe seal.

Emerson will display its latest Rosemount Tank Gauging System. Based on highly accurate and maintenance-free non-contacting radar technology, it delivers both standardised volume and mass besides level, average temperature, pressure and other measured data through a user-friendly operator interface.

Visitors to the Philadelphia Mixing Solutions stand will hear how its Lancer™ Advanced Pitch Propeller provides accurate predictability for blending, effective heat transfer and yields energy saving in excess of 30 percent. This technology, with its advanced impeller pitch design, lowers electrical energy consumption, improves tank integrity and oil movement performance in aboveground storage tanks.

Colfax is focusing on the Colfax Fluid Handling Terminal series pump which provides operators with a broad flow range as well as the twin screw benefits such as low NPSH requirements, tank stripping and the ability to fill at constant rates across a pressure range. The series can handle multiple fluid types including heavy oils such as bitumen, crude as well as light fluids such as gasoline and naptha.

Next Planet is highlighting its Ametank, Ampreva and Flaretot products. Ametank enables the rapid configuration, design, and detailing of aboveground shop-built and field-erected storage tanks. Ampreva rapidly generates 3D production detailed models while Flaretot is an integrated flare software solution for all aspects of flare design.

TTS will outline the benefits of its aluminum honeycomb panel in the manufacture of full contact internal floating roofs. Full contact honeycomb roofs minimise emissions and evaporative losses of stored product and cause fewer corrosive or oxidizing elements by removing the vapor zone from fixed roof storage tanks.

In addition to the exhibition, Tank Storage Asia features a paid for conference programme with over 20 leading authorities in the Asian bulk liquid storage sector delivering sessions on the critical issues spanning the whole region - from the Middle East to China and New Zealand.
