MONTREAL, CANADA (January 9, 2014) - AxxonLab, Inc. provides air quality testing, mold and asbestos testing for regulated substances which can pose serious health risks. AxxonLab's specialty is in the characterization and quantification of asbestos and mold in the air and in bulk samples. Owner, David Mitch, says, "They have has committed themselves to providing Mold and Asbestos Testing in Montreal and other areas in Canada as well as training professionals and other interested persons in detecting these toxic substances through monthly workshops."

To that end, AxxonLab Inc. an environmental testing agency have begun offering a variety of workshops on asbestos testing and mold testing for interested persons to get all the information they need to determine if there is a hidden health risk lurking in their walls and ceilings. The methods they teach are governed by the IRRST (Robert-Sauvé Institute for Labor Health and
Safety) and are proven to work.

Asbestos has been in use since prehistoric times and only increased with the Industrial Revolution due to its low cost and accessibility. However, it was later found that exposure to asbestos can contribute to a wide variety of lung ailments, including Pulmonary Fibrosis. This lead to laws banning the use of the substance and requiring it to be removed from homes and buildings.

Mold testing in Montreal and any areas where moisture is an issue is extremely important in preventative health measure. Mold comes in many forms, the most dangerous of which is Black Mold. Though some mold is safe in small quantities when large clusters are presented many serious health conditions can arise.

There are several workshops offered by AxxonLab, Inc. to assist in indoor air quality testing. These include "243- 1 Fiber counts in air sample analyses" and "244-2 Characterization and quantification of asbestos in dust and in materials". The first introduces attendees to the equipment and methods used to effectively test for such substances. It is concluded with an introduction in how to prepare a report after the analysis is completed. The second introduces the history of asbestos and the dangers associated with it. Upon completion, attendees will have learned how to measure the concentration of regulated fibers in known amount of air and to assess air quality. Other services offered by the company include same-day spore trap analysis. More will be coming soon.
