(February 2014) IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd. introduced the first ever concrete and construction exhibitions in ASEAN entitled “Concrete Expo Asia 2014 and Construction Materials Asia 2014”, the international conference and exhibitions about machinery, equipment and tools as well as technologies for the construction industry.
The events aim to support the fast-growing construction industry, with an estimated worth of 1 billion baht in 2014, as well as help the industry prepare for the upcoming AEC. More than 200 top leading brands and companies from the construction industry will get together under one roof to exhibit their latest technologies and products under the concept of “Construction & Building Technology Week 2014” during 18th – 20th September 2014.
Mr. Loy Joon How, General Manager of IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd. , said that according to the data from Kasikorn Research Center, the value of the construction industry in Thailand was 909 million baht in 2012and increased to 960 million baht last year. The Kasikorn Research Center has also estimated that the value of the industry would reach 1 billion baht in 2014 as a result of the growing number of commercial buildings in Bangkok, and now the market is shared by Chaing-Mai, Pattaya, Udonthani and Phuket. In the meantime, our neighboring countries are also trying to improve their construction technologies in preparation for the AEC in 2015.
Besides the estimated growing construction value of 1 billion baht in 2014, the outlook for the construction market in the region is likely to grow substantially.
