Ben Man to head F&B team of Asia’s Best Centre

(Hong Kong, 27 March 2014) Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Management) Limited (“HML”) has announced the appointment of Mr Ben Man as its new Director of Food & Beverage. HML is the professional private management and operating company for the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (“HKCEC”).

Mr Man oversees the operation of HML’s Food & Beverage Division. He leads a team of 330 professionals responsible for F&B event planning and co-ordination, along with catering services, the western and Chinese kitchens, the HKCEC’s seven restaurants, and concession stands set up during exhibitions at the HKCEC. His primary responsibilities include developing and implementing action plans that will enhance the reputation and service quality of HML’s food and beverage services, as well as further raise levels of customer satisfaction.

Ms Monica Lee Lee-Müller, Managing Director of HML, commented, “I am delighted to welcome Mr Man to HML. During the fiscal year 2012-2013 (July 2012 to June 2013), some 2.45 million guests from around the world enjoyed F&B services at the HKCEC as attendees at one of the 411 banquets, patrons of HKCEC’s seven restaurants or participants of 115 exhibitions, some being the world’s largest and most prestigious trade shows. Mr Man commented, “I look forward to working closely with my team to ensure that our service delivery continues to meet the high expectations of customers and stakeholders from all backgrounds and nationalities. The HKCEC has long been recognised as Asia’s Best. The HML F&B operation has won numerous accolades from all over the world. I am honoured to be taking on the challenge of lifting it to an even higher level.”

Prior to joining HML, Mr Man has worked in the hospitality industry for almost 30 years. He has held senior positions in a range of international hotel chains, restaurant management corporations and consultancy firms in Hong Kong, Macau and Mainland China including major cities such as Beijing and Shanghai.
