Secutech, the premier international platform for world-class manufacturers and discerning buyers of security products and solutions, has concluded its 2014 show. Held from 19 – 21 March at Taipei Nangang Exhibition Center, the show reconfirmed its position as the preferred platform of global suppliers, especially from China, South Korea and Taiwan – the three manufacturing basis who collectively account for up to 70% of the world’s security-based product output.
Organised once again by Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd, the event welcomed 500 exhibitors from 17 countries and regions, who showcased the latest sophisticated security technology across 35,873 sqm of exhibition space.
Mr Parson Lee, Manager Director for Messe Frankfurt New Era Business Media Ltd commented: “The industry provided great response to the 2014 show, we welcomed 26,127 visitors from 91 countries and regions, with a large number of buyers looking to upgrade existing security systems in the markets of Europe, North America and Southeast Asia. Digitally-integrated and intelligent-based systems are currently some of the biggest trends in the security market. For 2014, we saw a number of brands exhibit IP-based solutions that took advantage of high-definition video technology. The debut of the SMA Home zone was a great success.
A wide range of Wi-Fi and other wireless transmission-based security cameras was presented in the demonstration hall and display booth, where visitors could easily compare their performance and features. Pavilion presentations were also exceptional this year, as we welcomed returning participation from the areas of South Korea, the US and even the Chinese mainland city of Shenzhen. I truly look forward to future editions of this show, and can’t wait see the new range of high quality security solutions at the 2015 show.”
Industry heavyweight and long-time exhibitor, Dahua Technology Co Ltd, continues to admire the networking opportunities available from the show. Mr Tim Shen, Marketing Director for the firm’s Overseas Business Center noted: “At the show not only could we meet overseas visitors but also OEM companies whom we could potentially form new partnerships with. By displaying our latest products and solutions, we could present our concepts and development directions to both existing and potential clients. Secutech International is an important occasion to expand our network.”
One of the most common assessments received from exhibitors on buyers at the 2014 fair, was that an exceptionally high number of decision-making and influencing professionals were present. Mr Greg Luo, Senior Technical Support Manager at Hikvision Digital Technology Co Ltd, echoed this response from his participation. His firm, who introduced new commercial and residential IP-based alarm systems at the fair, received a number of potential leads from international buyers. He mentioned: “The visitors I met had genuine demand for products, and didn’t just come to look around. They came to our booth wanting to know more about our products and discuss potential new cooperation plans with us. Secutech 2014 was very professional and well organised. I would say this show is Asia’s most international security and safety trade fair.”
The range of quality products from the fair’s strong collection of exhibitors provided an incomparable experience for buyers. For Mr Alessandro Berio, Managing Director for Eurogroup S.R.L in Italy, the fair’s access to innovative products and insightful market news provided the perfect picture on the future of security technology. He explained: “I have been to Secutech for eight years, and it is one of the best shows I attend. Every year, the fair is professional and the exhibitor quality is high. I can find not only new products but also total solutions and advanced technology from suppliers from areas such as Taiwan, China and Korea. I am especially in favour of the show’s concurrent event, CompoSec, which is very helpful to all industry players in understanding product concepts by looking closer at the parts and accessories which truly determine the product's performance. This is the strength of the show, which makes it a must-attend occasion for the industry.”
Concurrent event programme commended for insight to the evolving global security industry
With a total of 128 sessions taking place, Secutech 2014’s concurrent event programme provided access to both industry experts and current market trends. The concurrent event programme, which tackled issues ranging from smart home networking and security control technology development to fire and occupational safety solutions, provided a multi-cultural look at how emerging security challenges were being handled around the world.
