Brings World-Class Water & Wastewater Management Solutions To The Asian Market

Bangkok, Thailand, June 11, 2014 – Veolia Water Technologies exhibits today at the 22nd edition of ProPak Asia 2014. From 11 – 14 June at Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC), Veolia will be showcasing cutting-edge water technologies that meet the needs of Food & Beverage (F&B) industry players across the region.

Water & Wastewater Solutions for the F&B industry
At ProPak Asia 2014, Veolia will showcase three water and wastewater management solutions for F&B manufacturers. They are:

• Biobed® Advanced Technology, a patented anaerobic wastewater reactor that integrates two existing reactor systems – the Biothane Upflow Anaerobic Sludge (UASB) and Biobed® Expended Granular Sludge Bed (EGSB). Combining the capabilities of both the Biothane UASB and Biobed® EGSB, the Biobed® Advanced Technology is the choice anaerobic reactor for performing wastewater treatment processes at an affordable price.

• AnoxKaldnes™ Moving Bed Biofilm Reactor (MBBR), is a biological solution that implements Veolia’s biofilm principle. The biofilm grows within specially engineered plastic carriers, and these carriers are then suspended and mixed in a reactor throughout the water phase. With a relatively small footprint, the AnoxKaldnes MBBR is able to achieve between 60 - 70% of COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand) removal and handle extremely high loading conditions without clogging problems.

• Actiflo®, a high-speed clarifier that utilises microsand (Actisand™) and polymer in a Turbomix® draft tube. This system is suitable for a wide range of applications, and can be used to treat both process water and wastewater.

Kai Uwe-Richter, Regional Market Manager, Food & Beverage, shares, “Veolia has developed dedicated water solutions for F&B manufacturers. Out of our many solutions, Veolia’s Actiflo® technology has been popular across industries, and is widely used to prevent corrosion and scaling in boilers and cooling systems. With over 25 years of experience in South East Asia, Veolia has the expertise to provide complete water and wastewater treatments for the F&B industry. This is Veolia’s sixth participation at ProPak, and we look forward to sharing our water solutions with trade visitors.”
