Hong Kong, 8 July 2014 -( ASIA TODAY )- The latest corporate video “Asia’s Best. Hong Kong’s Pride” produced by Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (Management) Limited (“HML”) has won two prestigious awards at the 2014 Questar Awards in the USA.
“Asia’s Best. Hong Kong’s Pride.”, launched at the 25th anniversary party of the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre (“HKCEC”) in December 2013, was recognised with the Gold Award (Corporations: Exhibitions/Conventions category), and the Silver Award (Advertisements/Commercials: Facilities Management category). The five-minute video captures HML staff as behind the scene heroes, contributing to the success of some 1,200 events that take place at the HKCEC annually. No professional talents were hired. All footages were taken live when HML staff was meeting with event organisers, preparing food in the kitchens, serving customers, setting up seats, cleaning windows, or conducting building maintenance work.
Ms Monica Lee-Müller, Managing Director of HML, commented, “We were delighted to see the creative but truthful ways in which our passion and professionalism is presented. It is an effective communication tool providing our stakeholders with a better understanding of the HML team.”

There were seven entries for the category Advertisements / Commercials: Facilities Management and six entries for the category Corporations: Exhibitions / Conventions. “Asia’s Best. Hong Kong’s Pride” was the only award-winning video in both categories.
The Questar Awards, which recognise excellence in video communications, are given out by MerComm of New York, a noted international arbiter of corporate branding and communications. The distinguished judging panel comprises creative directors, directors, filmmakers, public relations managers, and senior executives of institutions and corporations. The judges evaluate entries on their opening, script, direction, editing, creativity, camera/lighting, sound, talent and objectives. This year’s awards attracted over 100 entries from 12 different countries.
