Tank Storage Asia is used annually as a platform for leading industry players are using the show to launch new innovations, technologies and concepts into the Asian market. The leading event for the Asian tank storage industry, takes place on 24-25 September at the Marina Bay Sands, Singapore.
A. Hak Beheer B.V.At (D9) is using Tank Storage Asia 2014 to launch its new jet cannon range. This unique cleaning system is remote controlled and comes equipped with an HD camera and its own lighting. This innovative technology means that all the cleaning can be performed from outside of the tank, whilst still allowing full control over the process.
For those looking for overfill protection and grounding systems, Qingdao Alptec Safety Equipment (B5), the leading manufacturer in China, will be introducing a number of new products to the Asian market including its Static Grounding Monitor, Overfill Protection System, Retractable Grounding Reel for floating roof tanks and Static Grounding Reel. It will also unveil its High Level Alarm with two magnetic floating sensors, which monitor up to two liquid levels.
Fabricom BV (D10), one of the largest Dutch tank constructors, will be showcasing its Linerbag system. Made up of thermoplastic or rubber materials, enclosed with liquid-filled holding bags, the Linerbag system is placed on the inside of fixed storage tanks, ensuring that no liquid comes into contact with the inner steel wall or bottom of the tank. It also facilitates the use of instruments, measuring of temperatures and prevents overfilling.
Arflu Industrial Valves (C6) will be exhibiting its Dual Expanding Plug Valves, which are easy to operate, prevent fuel contamination in Multi-Product-Manifolds, require minimal maintenance, and avoid errors in meter cali¬bration, whilst being environmentally friendly by containing the fluid in the pipeline. The Dual Expanding Plug Valves are based on a rising stem design with a cam and pin and a rotating plug with retracting slips that assure low operating torques and friction-free opening and closing. The valves also have a double block and bleed function both upstream and downstream.
Colfax Fluid Handling (A6) will be displaying its Colfax Fluid Handling Terminal Series Pump. This provides operators with a broad flow range as well as twin screw benefits such as low NPSH requirements, tank stripping and the ability to fill at constant rates across a pressure range. With the Terminal Series, users can handle multiple fluid types including heavy oils such as bitumen and crude as well as light fluids such as gasoline and naphtha. The Terminal series includes a 500mm model. This targets loading and unloading applications for VLCC or other crude carrying vessels with a maximum flow rate of 5,000m3/h. The pump case is made with carbon steel and comes with a replaceable liner made of nodular cast iron.
Ergil (A20), a world leader in engineering, construction and manufacturing for oil, gas, water, chemical and petrochemical industries will be showcasing its flame arresters, breather valves, gauge hatches, floating roofs, and floating suction pipe. These include its Internal Floating Roof, Pressure Vacuum Vent and Detonation Flame Arrester.
Visitors to the Vacono (C16) stand will be able to a see it’s VaconoDeck, a compact and efficient internal floating roof used in vertical storage tanks. Evaporation can be reduced by up to 99 percent, allowing for short payback. Visitors will also get to see the VaconoDome, an aluminium geodesic dome roof, which is used to cover storage tanks of any diameter. VaconoDome prevents the contamination of the storage product from rainwater, sand and other foreign matters, whilst also reducing evaporation loss caused by wind or direct exposure to sunlight.
Verantio (D8) will be outlining its latest concept – ‘maintenance scooping’. Verantio has developed a complete set of new tools to support storage maintenance programs, including tank maintenance & inspection, fit for purpose assessments, repair plans, RFP documents, tender guidances, contractors reviews, risk assessments, drafting MRPs, budget estimations and detail mechanical engineering.
Emerson (A9) will be showcasing its Rosemount Tank Gauging System, a world leader in tank management, based on the reliable and maintenance-free radar level gauges. The system can be integrated easily with an existing network, DCS or host computer system. Emerson will also be showing its Fisher Regulators, which offer pressure and flow control products and solutions in three broad categories — industrial gas and liquids, natural gas and propane gas.
The Tank Storage Asia 2014 exhibition will run alongside a popular and influential two day paid-for conference, boasting its strongest ever conference line up, with over 20 leading authorities in the bulk liquid storage sector. They will be discussing the region’s critical issues - everything from changing trade flows and the shale boom to the storage market in China and the growth of the Asian biofuels market.
