The “Best Time” theme for this year’s Interior Lifestyle China, taking place 18 – 20 September at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre, China, puts the spotlight on a special area highlighting three design concepts aimed at different market sectors.

Organised by Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd, Interior Lifestyle China is the only platform in China for mid-range to high-end lifestyle related products. As part of the main show, and under the theme of “Design Your Best Time,” the concepts feature “Loft” aimed at mature design brands, “Next”, focused on future brands and “Talents” which highlights the work of young designers.

Commenting on the design area, Ms Wendy Wen, Senior General Manager for Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd explained: “From emerging designers to renowned design brands with successful marketing, these products can go to the international market from Asia through the three launch platforms initiated by Messe Frankfurt. “Loft” is aimed at mature Chinese brands such as Shanghai-based YAANG Life, while the “Next” concept is for future brands in their early development stage, and helps them to evolve into mature brands. In addition, our popular and highly respected “Talents” concept is the bridge between young aspiring designers and the interior industry. We give young designers and their innovative ideas the chance to show their design-oriented and avant-garde tableware, gifts, home accessories, furniture, lighting and textiles in a special area.”

Appearing in the “Next” design area will be Beladesign from China and Total Creative Limited from Hong Kong. Beladesign designs wood household products. The company uses imported FSC wood and polishes its designs manually with wax oil. Total Creative Limited has three product categories: 3D Seamless Knitting Apparel, the “mm” character stocked by leading department stores in Hong Kong and Beijing, and the Chairman Mao range of home decoration items, gifts and souvenirs.

The “Talents” design area will be presenting contemporary works by designers from China and Japan:

China
• Ejing Zhang Design Studio: Contemporary accessories influenced by Chinese and Japanese bamboo craftsmanship.

• Hangzhou Zhiran: Voice of CHINA speaker made in China for the iPhone series.

• Morgen Design: Household, electronic products and stationery designs.

• Yudi Design Studio: Ceramic and porcelain jewellery.

Japan
• Kobe Ishou Sourenjo: A design unit by Shinichi Yamauchi and Kei Ninomiya.

The Interior Lifestyle China show will be held in parallel to Paperworld China, the trade fair for the stationery and office supplies industry. Holding the two shows at the same venue offers buyers a larger range of products to choose from. For more information about Interior Lifestyle China 2014, please visit www.il-china.com.
