Aqua Taiwan 2014 showcased new trends of water technology

Kaohsiung - The first Aqua Taiwan 2014 was on! From Oct. 8th to 10th, 140 exhibitors at 222 booths showcased the water industry at Kaohsiung Exhibition Centre. Organized by TAITRA, Aqua Taiwan will dazzled buyers and visitors from home and abroad with their latest technology.

Major exhibitors include the Industrial Technology Research Institute and the PingTung Export Processing Zone, Tankpac Ind. (world's top maker of pressure water storage tanks), China Ecotek Corp. (Taiwan's largest water treatment company), HCP Pump Manufacturer (lead maker of professional submersible pumps) and Chang Yi Shin Co. (the founder of Taiwan Aqua Professionals).

Water experts converged at Harbor City

Top buyers from 38 countries across Europe and the Emerging Market came to the event. Buyers include environmental consultants in Canada with an annual revenue of 6.7 billion U.S dollars, water companies in Russian with annual revenue of 700 million U.S dollars, and civil and construction engineering companies in Singapore with annual revenue of 100 million U.S dollars.

Prospects came with the 88 pre-arranged 1-on-1 business meetings arranged by TAITRA, and the show-featured meeting of the "Government Procurement Sourcing Meeting for Water Industry 2014" on the show's opening day, where 14 winning bidders of government projects from The United Arab Emirates, Russia, Romania, Bangladesh, and China will discuss with domestic firms possible cooperation in waste water and sewage water treatment equipment, reverse osmosis equipment, water ware, water filters, water purifiers and pumps.

Taiwan Water Industry Conference for the latest Tech & Trends

Aqua Taiwan also features the Taiwan Water Industry Conference where a marathon of conferences and presentations were held from Oct. 8th to 9th. These conferences aimed to promote exchanges between industry and academia in order to progress developments across the industry. On the Oct. 8th professor Soon-Thiam Khu from Urban Water Systems Engineering, University of Surrey, UK delivered a key-note speech on the UK Water Mission 2030 that explores the research and innovations that is driving the project.

Visitors also witnessed more than 15 launches of new product. On the opening morning the Industrial Technology Research Institute presented its Water and Wastewater Treatment Technologies. They were followed by Biyoung Biotechnology that introduces its Oxygen Water Dispenser. Then Seven Star Ocean Co., Ltd. discusses Faucet Filters for the Kitchen & Bathroom. Around 4:30 PM Zoeller Taiwan Co. will demonstrate its new Drain Pump. And many more presentations and launches follow on the following days.

Aqua Taiwan presented six exhibition zones: Drinking Water Treatment, Kitchen & Bathroom Plumbing Fixtures, Fluid Automation & Controls, Public Infrastructure, Water Products and Wastewater Treatment.
