Hong Kong job seekers are increasingly using mobile devices when looking for a new job.
According to the latest survey conducted by Hays, a growing number of job seekers are doing their job searching on their smartphones. The survey asked 584 Hong Kong job seekers on their job searching preferences. 41% of respondents reported they do their job searching mostly via desktop computers but sometimes via mobile devices, while 56% said they search mainly via mobile devices and sometimes by desktop computers.
“A growing number of job seekers now prefer to use a smartphone for job search activities because they can search for jobs anytime, anywhere,” says Christine Wright, Managing Director of Hays in Asia.
In light of this trend, jobsDB provides job seekers with a user-friendly mobile app, allowing them to search for job opportunities while on the go. Users can search for job ads by various criteria such as job function, location and salary, and are able to apply for jobs with resumes stored on their jobsDB account. The jobsDB app is available on iTunes App Store and Google Play.
