Amsterdam RAI, Netherlands 10 February 2015 – Auro-3D® home entertainment systems are being showcased at Integrated Systems Europe 2015, with a range of manufacturers demonstrating the immersive sound capabilities of their products.

3D audio is the next step forwards for entertainment, a break-through achieved by adding the missing dimension of height all around the listener. Auro-3D® brings this excitement to the home, building on standard surround sound systems (5.1 or 7.1) by adding our unique ‘Height layer’ of speakers positioned at 30° overhead, creating a vertical Stereo field all around the listener. For larger rooms Auro-3D® adds an optional ‘Top layer’, installed in the ceiling. This vertical Stereo filed can also be virtually reproduced as well thanks to the Auro-HeadPhones™ algorithm – also on display at ISE.

Here’s a list of where you can experience a breath-taking Auro-3D® demo at ISE, from 10-12 February.

1.) Auro Technologies’ booth (7-V185) is the starting point for Auro-3D® sound, with home cinema and mobile solutions being demoed in an Auro 9.1 speaker setup. Home theatre kit on display includes models from Denon, Marantz, Steinway Lyngdorf and Datasat as well as the exclusive Auro Technologies AVR range, the Auro-3D® Auriga™, Mensa™, and Crux™. Mobile demos will be featured as well, featuring the new Auro-Cx™ mobile format, which brings the Auro-3D® Engine to mobile devices. The Auro Technologies stand will feature an Auro-3D® demo booth as well, equipped with an Auro 9.1 speaker layout.

2.) The Immersive Sound Experience (Room E105/106) is a probably the most ambitious and impressive high-end demo room at ISE, enveloping the audience in rich, high definition sound running continuous Auro-3D® demos throughout the show. Featuring top-end equipment from partners Datasat Digital Entertainment, Genelec, Lang AG and Screenline, the room features an Auro 11.1 speaker configuration, using a total of 22 Genelec speakers all around plus 6 Genelec subwoofers. Auro-3D® movies and music demonstrations are being accompanied by engaging talks and presentations from Wilfried Van Baelen, inventor of the Auro-3D® format and CEO of Auro Technologies, and others in the movie and music industries.

3.) Bowers & Wilkins (10-K114) will be running Auro-3D demos at their booth using built-in B&W speakers setup in cooperation with Mutrox, a specialist in sound insulation and acoustics, and using Trinnov equipment.

4.) California Audio Technology (CAT) (5-S92) is running demonstrations in Auro 9.1 featuring CAT loudspeakers and CAT amplifiers.

5.) Genelec (3-C111), is running demos in Auro 11.1 at their booth using their Genelec Smart Active Monitoring solutions (SAM), which automatically calibrates the system to make frequency corrections and adjusts the flight time.

About Auro Technologies
Auro Technologies are the creators of the Auro-3D® format, a revolutionary development in audio. This exciting move from two-dimensional Surround sound (5.1/7.1) formats to Auro-3D® is a break-through achieved by adding the missing third dimension of “height” all around the listener achieving true “immersive sound”, introduced by its inventor, Wilfried Van Baelen. Auro-3D®’s emphasis by adding height layers and sound element to the overall sound experience is both revolutionary and a great technological leap forward – such a configuration provides the fullest possible immersion and allows the viewer, gamer or listener to be placed at the heart of a completely immersing sound experience.

Auro Technologies revolutionized cinema audio with “immersive sound”, thanks to its partnership with Barco. They now have over 500 digital cinema screens confirmed worldwide to be equipped with Auro 11.1 by Barco™. Many blockbuster films are being released in Auro-3D®, and music albums are already available on the market.

In 2013 Auro Technologies took the decision to take the 3D sound revolution out of the cinema and bring this totally new experience to the consumer market. Since then, Auro Technologies have been working to ensure that their unique Auro-3D® technology can be easily enjoyed in everyday life – home entertainment systems, gaming, smart phones, tablets, headphones, even the trusted family car. The unique coding technology behind Auro-3D® allows high resolution audio in each channel using existing delivery formats and with full backwards compatibility - no extra bandwidth needed.
