12th February, 2015 – the Official Press Conference of the upcoming World Spa & Well-being Convention 2015 which will be held from Sept 24th – 26th, 2015 at IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Bangkok, Thailand. Thai Spa Association (TSPA) in cooperation with Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce and IMPACT Exhibition Management Co., Ltd. will host the Official Launch Press Conference for World Spa & Well-being Convention 2015 and Industry Briefing & Well-being Forum on 12th February 2015 at Arnoma 3, Arnoma Hotel Bangkok.
World Spa & Well-being Convention 2015 will continue to push the standards for the spa and well-being sector, providing more business opportunities than ever before in one of the fastest-growing niche market segments of the travel and tourism industry in the region. Given with the expertise and experience we have, we are planning to establish this event and aim to become a professional platform for the spa and well-being industry among those who are involved in the ASEAN Spa & Well-being industry. During the Press Conference, there will be an Industry Briefing and Well-being forum which will involve the discussion between the experts or professionals that are widely known among the players within the industry. Participants would then be able to share different point of views of the experts, such as forecasting the industry outlook and how to prepare for the upcoming AEC in 2015.

In 2015, Thai Spa Association estimate 15% growth for Spa Industry, 6-10 % growth for Destination Spa, 10 – 20% growth for Day Spa and Hotel & Resort Spa, and 10 -15% for Spa Products. The value of international spa tourism business should achieve at 31,155.48 million bath, 12% growth for export product and 2,240 million bath for spa service, management, and other. The association is confident that the World Spa & Well-being Convention 2015 which will be held on 24 – 26 September 2015, at Hall 5-6, IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, Muang Thong Thani will be the great platform for spa industry to drive the business grows and achieve our target”.
Ms. Jatuporn Wattanasuwan, Director Office of Service Trade & Trade Logistics, Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce said that “Thai Spa has a market value of 32,443.84 million baht in 2014 to carry out the trade in goods and services in the region. The constant annual growth of spa industry will thus be able attract investors which is crucial for the travel and tourism industry in the region. To prepare towards the same direction for the upcoming AEC, Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce and Thai Spa Association will organize “World Spa & Well-being Convention 2015” to encourage Spa & Well-being business and industry, service innovation, product development, and new technology to promote the image of Thailand as a Spa & Well-being Hub for ASEAN and international.
In order to create a new standard and further strengthen the future for the Spa & Well-being industry, DITP has launched the “Product Champion” Campaign by selecting various Wellness products and services to encourage spa & well-being entrepreneurs to network. From this campaign, we hope to get new Wellness’s products and services. The Product Champion Campaign will held this year in the World Spa & Well being Convention 2015 on 24 - 26 September 2015 at IMPACT Exhibition and Convention Center, IMPACT Muang Thong Thani”.

The press conference will be held with an industry briefing and well-being forum which will engage key members of the Spa & Well-being industry to provide their perspectives for the upcoming ASEAN Economic Communities or AEC 2015, the role of Women in Wellness, and some of the Myths and Madness that is being marketed as ‘spa and well-being’.
The 4th edition of WSWC 2015 will build on the past success and continue to explore Thailand to being the hub of Spa & Well-being the ASEAN region, and building on past efforts and further expanding the industry education, standards and innovations and awards ceremony in the Thailand Spa & Well-being Awards 2015. WSWC 2015 is the perfect platform to give exhibitors and business leaders a myriad of opportunities to network and build business connections with the expected 15,000 visitors.
