StocExpo 2015 was another great success, bringing together the world’s tank terminal industry for three days of networking, business and knowledge sharing. The Ahoy, Rotterdam welcomed attendees from the usual players of Germany, the Netherlands and Belgium, but also from further afield including China, Middle East and USA.

Marcus Patrinicola, Global Director of Business Development at Energy Solutions Ltd was one of many delegates and senior decision makers who was impressed with what the rapidly growing show had to offer. He commented: “This is the premier event for the European terminal industry.”
Eng. Jamal M. Dandan, Operations Manager at Alexandria Chemicals Terminal agreed: “This event is great. It is the one place where everyone in the industry can collect under one roof. It has been a great experience.”

The three-day conference which sits at the heart of StocExpo, welcomed over 170 delegates and 30 world class speakers from key ports, terminals and financial institutions.

Companies such as BP, Wood Mackenzie, PJK International, IP-Solutions, Mercon, TanQuid GmbH & Co. KG and Oil Tanking North America took to the stage, to discuss a plethora of subjects, from global fuel market developments and tank corrosion to financial trends and supply chain integration.

Conference attendee and speaker Victor Montano Conde, Energy and Operations Optimisation Engineer at CLH commented: “The already excellent conference programme is even better once again.”

Mikko Hietanen, Financial Director at Baltic Tank agreed: “The conference has been fantastic. The speakers have discussed interesting and relevant industry subjects.”

Hietanen also valued the breadth of international suppliers exhibiting at StocExpo 2015: “I have seen products that could be really beneficial to me and potentially save my organisation some money. It has been a perfect opportunity to make some very useful contacts. Overall it has been a great show.”

StocExpo 2015 attracted exhibitors from right across the supply chain, who used the show as the launch-pad for new products and services. For instance Emco Wheaton launched its TODO Break-Away range, Protego introduced its PM-HF pilot-controlled pressure and vacuum relief valve, whilst Hempel unveiled its HEMPADUR AvantGuard, a portfolio of three new anti-corrosive zinc primers.

With independent research showing that attendees are looking for new suppliers and a majority on the hunt for new products, StocExpo proved a strong platform for such companies.

Exhibitor Paul Latimer, Sales Coordinator at Hazchem Safety provided his thoughts on the 2015 show: "StocExpo has been excellent. It is very industry specific, which is important in a market like this. It has opened up numerous potential opportunities for us.”

Rachael Stevenson, International Sales Manager at Newson Gale also the found the show to be an excellent sales opportunity: “We have had some really interesting visits from leading industry decision makers, we have received two quote requests already, plus we have seen particular interest in our road tanker recognition earthing system. Brilliant all round”.

According to independent research on behalf of the organisers, 93 percent would recommend StocExpo to a colleague and 98 percent of visitors rated their experience at the event as either good or excellent.

Nick Powell, StocExpo & Tank Storage Portfolio Event Director, commented on the show’s continued success: “We were thrilled to welcome even more exhibitors to this year’s event and also play host to FETSA’s annual meeting, welcoming the heads of all the key European Tank Storage Associations to the Ahoy. By striking these strategic partnerships with the likes of FETSA & the Port of Antwerp, this can only be great news for further growing the event and bringing together even more representatives from key terminals across Europe.

It has been a truly phenomenal year for the Artexis Easyfairs Tank Storage Portfolio, with the launch of Tank Storage Germany & Tank Storage Middle East and the enhanced growth of both StocExpo & Tank Storage Asia. We look forward to continuing to facilitate the tank storage community globally”.

The next StocExpo will take place on 15-17 March 2016 at Antwerp Expo, Antwerp. Additional information can be found at www.stocexpo.com or contact Nick Powell on +44 (0)20 8843 8801 or nick@stocexpo.com.
