Two of the biggest toy and baby product fairs in Southern China, Toy & Hobby China and Baby & Stroller China, will commence next Wednesday, marking the first editions under a new joint venture named Guangzhou Li Tong Messe Frankfurt, which was formed between Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd and the Guangzhou Toy Association last November. The three-day events, which are held in the Poly World Trade Center Expo in Guangzhou, will run until 10 April and are expected to draw over 40,000 trade visitors to source from nearly 1,300 toy and baby product exhibitors.
Commenting on the two newly joined events of the Asia Pacific arm of the German exhibition company, Ms Wendy Wen, Senior General Manager at Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd, said: “The Chinese toy and baby product market is booming and we are pleased to be part of it and witness the growth.”
The scale of the two fairs jump over 50% compared to 2014 thanks to strong market conditions. “This year’s fairs will occupy an exhibition area of 75,000 sqm, 59% larger than the previous editions,” Ms Wen continued, also stating that the expansion can help more exhibitors benefit from the strong alliance of one of the world’s largest exhibition companies and a key local player in the Chinese toy and baby product market.
The two fairs also see a boost in their internationality as trade buyers from Australia, Belgium, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Israel, Italy, Japan, Korea, Macau, Russia, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Taiwan, the UK and Turkey have confirmed their participation, while buyer delegations organised by toy associations from India, Spain and Thailand will also be present.
Innovative Stroller Zone and Electronic Pre-school Zone to make debut appearance
Two new zones, namely the Innovative Stroller Zone and Electronic Pre-school Zone, will give exhibitors additional exposure of their strollers and electronic products for young children. The Innovative Stroller Zone, which is located in Hall 1, will showcase the latest stroller and ride-on collections from renowned Chinese suppliers.
At the same time, to cater to the fast growing pre-school education sector in China, the 2015 fairs will feature an Electronic Pre-school Zone in Hall 2 to showcase a wide range of electronic products for children such as mini computers, electronic story books and many more. Furthermore, the Pre-school Amusement Play-set Zone in Hall 2, Animation and Character Licensing Zone in Hall 6 and Hong Kong Pavilion in Hall 4 will return once again, granting visitors easier access to broader selections of high-quality toy and baby products at the fairs.
