Concurrent programme highlights developments in electrical engineering, intelligent building and smart home markets
The 12th edition of Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology will be held from 9 – 12 June in Area A of the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou, China. Recognised as Asia’s premier platform for the electrical engineering, building and home automation markets, the fair is expected to host approximately 300 exhibitors and occupy 20,000 sqm of exhibition space.
With less than two months before the show, the fair has attracted numerous industry-leading suppliers who are preparing to showcase their latest innovations. Mr Go Maruyama, General Manager of the Sales and Marketing Department at Murata (China) Investment Co Ltd, shared: “This is our second time at the fair. We aim to promote our latest total solutions for sensors and wireless communication technologies to the China market. Currently, Internet of Things is strongly supported by the Chinese government, and there is a push for the development of intelligent building and smart lighting. This creates great opportunities for us. Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology is a leading platform and its professionalism is highly recognised by industry players. The results we achieved by attending last year were significant and we have high expectations for the upcoming fair.”
Returning exhibitor Z-Wave Alliance shares the same optimism. A representative of the alliance in China, Mr CK Sze, explained: “Z-Wave is a wireless communications protocol designed for home automation. By exhibiting at the fair, we aim to educate the market on the Z-Wave technology and demonstrate how it connects with other products. The fair is an important platform for us to tap the China market and we are looking forward to the 2015 edition.”
ZF Friedrichshafen AG from Germany is a first-time exhibitor. Mr Dietmar Vogts, Event Manager at the company, commented: “Building automation is a growing market within the electronics industry. This is our first time participating in the Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology fair and we will showcase our strong offerings in wireless energy harvesting switch solutions. We not only help design more intelligent and energy-efficient buildings, but also simultaneously help simplify installation and maintenance processes. At the 2015 fair, we look forward to strengthening our ties with local OEMs and system suppliers in the building electronics industry.”
