Veolia Water Solutions & Technologies (Shanghai) Co., Ltd. is proud to announce its appointment to work with one of the world’s leading brewers in China, on a landmark greenfield process water project that signifies the first time both companies are partnering together in the country. As the client’s flagship brewery worldwide, the plant in Dali, Yunnan province will see Veolia implementing several cutting-edge water treatment processes.
Creator of some of the best breweries around the world, Veolia’s new partner is widely known for instilling high global operational standards across its divisions. For this flagship plant, the company chose to work with Veolia because of positive past experiences outside of China with compliance according to the brewer’s strict global manufacturing policies. Another factor was due to Veolia’s similar operating standards with the company.
Johnny Yu, Business Development Manager, Food & Beverage at Veolia Water Technologies in China, emphasized, “Veolia has been operating in Asia for over 30 years, and we have since cemented our reputation as one of the leading global providers of water and wastewater solutions in the region. In addition to Veolia’s extensive experience, our close understanding of this client’s global corporate standards and intimate knowledge of China’s food and beverage industry regulations were significant factors that led to this partnership.”
Committed to providing high-performing water technologies, Veolia also leveraged on its combined expertise accumulated through its global divisions to provide the brewery giant with strong technical support. Additionally, Veolia was able to tap on its wide range of water solutions to propose a design that met the client’s needs and that well-enhanced the efficiency of the process water treatment plant.
“Thanks to Veolia’s international presence and know-how in this field, we were able to stand out amongst other providers in the selection process,” Florent Puybaret, Development Director for China Industrial Solutions, Veolia Water Technologies, said. “The project marks Veolia’s first partnership here in China with this global brewer, and it also demonstrates our capabilities in tailoring first-class water and wastewater treatment solutions for our clients who operate in different continents.”
