Tank Storage Germany, the leading event for the German tank storage industry, has experienced exceptional growth in 2015, with figures already showing a 20% increase in exhibitors on last year’s show. The two day event, which is moving to the popular Hamburg Messe, will take place on 25 & 26 November 2015, opening its doors to suppliers and key decision-makers from around the globe.
Many exhibitors use the show to launch new technologies, ideas and concepts to the bulk liquid sector. For instance Inventure Technologies has developed a new innovative, web-based software program, RB-IT Piping Integrity Software. It determines the condition and remaining life of pipelines. The program complies with all major industry standards and guidelines and the studies contribute to the optimisation of the reliability and profitability of storage tanks in general.
Atexor Oy will be presenting its new SLAM High Temp Portable Ex lighting, designed for high temperature conditions. Its lights work up to +55°C, and is rated in the T4 temperature class. Atexor Oy will also be displaying its portable LED light, with a new dual-purpose EM function.
Buchen Tank and Turnaround Service will be using the show to showcase its Automatic Jet Washer Systems. The complete automatic tank cleaning system has a modular design and is installed in sea containers. It can be transported to the deployment site quickly, plus it is suitable for both floating and fixed roof tanks. Its main components are mobile suction, pressure modules and jet washers, which largely eliminates the use of chemicals.
Concrete Canvas will showcase its flexible concrete impregnated geotextile, which hardens on hydration, to form a thin, durable, fibre reinforced concrete layer. It is low mass and low carbon technology, which uses up to 95% less material than conventional concrete. It is predominately used for above ground drainage applications. It can also be used for hard armour capping of earth bunds around oil refinery tank farms, munitions depots and flood defences.
Ebro Armaturen will be presenting its vibrating dosing value, ViDos. A vibrator mounted on the lower shaft makes this valve special, as it causes a linear vibration which swings the disc horizontally. The frequency of this vibration is controlled via air pressure. When used as a shut-off valve, the vibration function helps to reduce the crustification of particles within the product, leading to significant extension of the cleaning and servicing periods.
Continuing with this theme is Omni Valve, who will be displaying its OmniSeal Double Block & Bleed expanding plug valve. It is a single valve solution that simultaneously blocks both the upstream and downstream flow, while allowing the user to verify seal integrity using a manual or automatic body bleed system.
SZE Hagenuk GmbH will be using Tank Storage Germany 2015 to demonstrate its Professional Leak Detection Location system, LeaCom. It is based on a real-time working digital domain reflectometry technology and is designed for the fast and reliable detection and location of liquid leaks. If a leaking liquid comes into contact with one of its sensor cables, the system signals a leak together with an exact location.
Leading international exhibitor, Emerson Process Management, will be showcasing an array of products, including its Rosemount Tank Gauging System. It produces precise net volume calculations allowing organisations to handle the ever-increasing demands on efficiency, safety and accuracy. Also on show will be its Smart Wireless Tank Gauging system and its Emerson LNG Tank Gauging System.
