Tokyo, Japan, July 27th, 2015 – The support from members and all related people, Supermarket Trade Show will reach the memorial year of 50th anniversary. The New Supermarket Association of Japan [Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo / Chairman: Mr. Kiyoshi Yokoyama (CEO of ARCS COMPANY, LIMITED)] has announced the “50th Supermarket Trade Show 2016.” For this special anniversary, the Supermarket Trade Show 2016 invites other 4 trade shows to cover whole food related layers. And we call the new inclusive exhibition name “FOOD TABLE in JAPAN 2016”. It will be opened at the both east and west area of Tokyo Big Sight (It will be 82,000㎡ with other 4 trade shows)
From April 2015, a new certification mark system for functional foods has started in Japan. Healthy foods and even normal foods which contain nutritious components are allowed to indicate functions on container labels. With the social background, people’s attention toward care foods will be expanded. We believe that food retail industry is responsible to suggest health foods and healthy life through supermarkets. For “50th Supermarket Trade Show 2016,” we would like to focus on and further develop Health-care Food Zone with support and advice from Japan Association of Chain Drug Stores.
The meaning of connecting with Organic Expo 2016
The zone of Organic Expo 2016 and Care Food Zone will be next to each other. All the organic and natural products buyers in Organic Expo 2016 can come easily to the Health-care Food Zone so it can provide more opportunity for functional food zone to develop their business.

About the New Supermarket Association of Japan
NSAJ is a benevolent corporation with a close relationship to several government offices.
