BOSTON, 2015 August 4 – It is no coincidence that leading investors flock to the annual Global AgInvesting (GAI) Asia event in Singapore. Here, lively discussions with potential portfolio companies ensue on which strategies are likely to generate the highest returns when investing in the burgeoning agriculture asset class. Where a review of factors such as population growth, natural resource constraints, supply chain deficiencies and expansion of the global middle class present enormous opportunities to not only improve conditions for increased food production and sustainability, but to see substantial return on investment as well.

Throughout the two-and-a-half day conference, 22-24 September at the Marina Bay Sands in Singapore, a thorough examination of the regions of Asia will paint a clear picture of the agriculture needs and related investing possibilities in this area of nearly 4.5 billion residents where two-thirds of the world’s hungry reside. And in which, according to GAI Advisory Board company Asian Development Bank (ADB), a predicted 70 percent increase in food production will be required to compensate for the growth to 5.2 billion people by 2050. ADB alone has pledged $2B a year to address the top three constraints to sustainable food security in Asia.

Highlighting the ag investing situations at GAI Asia will be more than 60 international experts from the GAI speaking faculty, covering topics such as:

• China's Growing Presence in the Global Agribusiness Sector

• Investment Opportunities Driven by Structural Deficits & Supply Chain Inefficiencies

• Harnessing the Potential of Asian Agriculture, with Spotlights on the Northeast, Southeast and South Asian Regions

• Water Scarcity Solutions & Opportunities

• Animal Investment Strategies Including Livestock, Dairy and Aquaculture

GAI Asia is the largest gathering of agriculture investment stakeholders in the region, attracting close to 300 allocators, farm and fund managers and agribusiness executives. The agenda provides a comprehensive overview of the sector, including critical panel discussions on risk/return profiles of major global production regions including Africa, Central and Eastern Europe, Australia and New Zealand, and the Americas.

This fifth annual event is part of the international Global AgInvesting series (New York, Singapore, San Francisco, London, Dubai), hosted by HighQuest Group, a strategic advisory, conference, and media firm serving corporations, financial investors, and governments across the global food and agribusiness value chains.
