Proven Self-Cleaning Filter Technology to Fulfill Current & Future Market Needs

Veolia Water Technologies exhibits today at Power-Gen Asia 2015 and announces the global launch of its new Hydrotech Discfilter™ HSF2200-1C compact unit. A mechanical and self-cleaning filter that offers a large filter area in a small footprint, the new Discfilter HSF2200-1C is designed for superb performance, promising reliability and safety.

In addition, Veolia is showcasing one other key technology that addresses the power generation industry’s water treatment needs at the annual trade event. From 1 – 3 September, visitors have the opportunity to learn more about Veolia’s Actiflo® Turbo clarifier which has enabled power manufacturers to successfully mitigate water challenges.

Bill Willersdorf, Global Market Director, Power, Veolia Water Technologies, shares, “Progressively, manufacturers are imposed with more stringent environmental regulations. But with Veolia, our partners can be assured of staying on top of their game, as our solutions exceed even the most rigorous quality and environmental standards required by the power industry. We are continuously pushing technological boundaries to create more value for our clients. Flexibility is a strong highlight for the new Discfilter, allowing replacements and changes to the filter panels to be carried out seamlessly.”

The New Hydrotech Discfilter™ HSF2200-1C Compact Unit

Designed to withstand a higher differential pressure than its predecessor, Veolia’s new Hydrotech Discfilter™ HSF2200-1C compact unit is an automatic, self-cleaning filter equipped with self-cleaning nozzles that eliminate the need for a backwash strainer. The new series includes a filter space to accommodate up to 12 discs, and the compact unit is particularly suitable for small to medium-sized projects.

The new Discfilter HSF2200-1C possesses a more efficient design: with a maximum capacity set at 200 l/s, representing 10-15% additional filtration capacity while occupying a 20% smaller footprint, it is the choice filter system for retrofitting purposes. Additional benefits of this new filter system include a lower investment cost and total ownership cost, as well as minimized maintenance and flexibility in construction materials.

• Actiflo® is a high rate clarifier exclusively developed and patented by Veolia. With over 900 global references, Actiflo® is an ideal solution for recycling process water and pre-treating boiler feed or water within a power plant cooling tower. Compared to conventional clarifiers, Actiflo® has a small footprint and can be used for process water production, wastewater treatment, reuse and recycling, and storm water run-off treatment.

We offer the best possible turnkey and standardized solutions for high and small capacity power plants, and the positive references we’ve accumulated in this field speak highly of our capabilities.
