Oberboihingen/Istanbul – Ever stricter quality requirements, the trend towards individualisation, larger production volumes and rising cost pressure – these are just a few of the challenges being faced by companies with in-house painting operations. And they can only be mastered if existing painting and coating processes are consistently optimised. Appropriate solutions will be presented by the exhibitors at the 3rd PaintExpo Eurasia at the Expo Center Istanbul (Istanbul Fuar Merkezi) from the 15th through the 17th of October, 2015. And thus visiting the trade fair for industrial coating technology will make an important contribution to maintaining and sharpening one’s competitive edge at the national and international levels.

Whether liquid painting or powder coating is involved – industrial coating technology plays a decisive role today in all areas of industry and daily life. On the one hand, paint protects surfaces made of metal, plastic, wood and other materials against mechanical, chemical and physical influences – for which prevailing requirements are becoming more and more strict. On the other hand, paint also has to fulfil sales promotional aspects. The pleasant optics and haptics provided by immaculate painting furnish products with individuality, which is more and more often a decisive buying criteria. The trend towards individualisation and the increasing diversity of colour tones are leading to smaller and smaller lot quantities. At the same time, cost pressure is rising as the result of increasing national and international competition. A further factor involves stricter requirements for the environmental compatibility of the coating process, and its efficient use of resources. And thus in order to remain competitive, companies are required to paint and coat their products more and more cost effectively, and at the same time with higher levels of quality and sustainability. Information concerning the latest technologies and current trends is necessary to this end, and these will be presented at PaintExpo Eurasia at the Expo Center Istanbul from the 15th through the 17th of October, 2015.

Comprehensive Offerings with Numerous New Products

The exhibitors at the 3rd trade fair for industrial coating technology will present products and services for liquid painting and powder coating ranging from pre-treatment right on up to quality control. These will include lots of new and further developed solutions.

In the field of equipment technology, there’s an obvious trend towards systems which provide ideal coating quality as well as good flexibility. On the one hand, ever smaller lot quantities, shorter product lifecycles and a continuously increasing variety of colour tones play a role in this respect. On the other hand, central importance is placed on system expandability in accordance with actual needs. Spray guns and high-speed rotary atomizers for the efficient application of coating materials and reduced overspray will be exhibited, which decisively increase application efficiency levels through the use of a spray jet which is matched to workpiece geometry. Intelligent paint logistics with paint feeding systems makes it possible to recover unused paint from the feed lines and to dose defined quantities of paint to the application equipment. Increasing the degree of automation also contributes to optimised quality and cost reductions. Easy to program painting robots, for example, will be presented to this end. They ensure better reproducibility of the painting results and lower scrap rates. The exhibitors will also offer new products in the field of conveyor systems.

And they’ll introduce new developments in the area of liquid paints and powdered enamels as well. On the one hand, where solvent-based paints are concerned, attention will be focused on so-called very-high and ultra-high-solid paints and, on the other hand, on painting systems which make it possible to reduce the number of required process steps and provide increased durability, for example resistance to scratching. In the field of powdered enamels, the exhibitors will present powder systems which interlink at lower baking temperatures, offer improved protection against corrosion and UV radiation, and more.

The significance of UV technology is also growing where painted metal and plastic parts are concerned. It makes curing possible in a matter of just a few seconds. For example, an innovative, air-cooled curing system will be presented to this end.

And thus PaintExpo Eurasia provides visitors with the opportunity of gathering targeted information regarding developments aimed at optimising coating processes, making direct comparisons of different solutions and becoming acquainted with new sources of supply.
