The worldwide trade show for pharmaceutical ingredients will bring together 2,500 exhibitors and a total of 36,000 professionals from 153 countries, making it the largest international event to be held in Madrid.
This major exhibition, which has been recognised as one of the most influential internationally, will also be the scene for the 7th CPHI Pre-Connect Congress to discuss the latest trends in this constantly evolving global market.
Madrid, September 17th, 2015. The International Fair for Pharmaceutical Ingredients, CPHI Worldwide, is the most important event in the chemical and pharmaceutical world. It is held once a year at different locations around the world and this year Madrid is once again the city of choice. The 2015 edition will take place from 13 to 15 October, for which CPHI has once again chosen IFEMA's facilities to host the event, which will comprise a total of 20 different areas covering the entire range of products offered by 2,500 exhibitor companies from all over the world. After the last experience in Madrid in 2012, the fair is expected to have a significant impact on the city owing to the influx of over 36,000 professionals from 153 countries.
The fair will be divided up into 20 areas that will each be devoted to different themes, such as excipients, final dosage, contract services, packaging and machinery. It will thus be revealing the latest trends shown by a global industry that is constantly evolving, as presented by the most prestigious international pharmaceutical firms. The fair will also bring together suppliers from the major pharmaceutical markets, such as China, India and the USA, as well as the emerging markets of Turkey, Russia and Malaysia.
One day before the event begins, on Monday 12 October IFEMA will be hosting the seventh edition of the CPHI Pre-Connect Congress, which has become a meeting point for the pharmaceutical industry worldwide. The Congress will attract top representatives and key agents from every sector in the industry.
Worthy of special mention in this edition is the Pharma Forum, a sort of content village for disseminating the event's content. For the first time in 25 years, there will be an area dedicated exclusively to content and knowledge exchange. This new area will house a number of activities, including informative meetings, three Innovation Galleries (CPHI, CISE and Innopack) showcasing the latest products brought by exhibitors, and additional commercial explorations (non-pharma), with special focus on the top five positions in terms of sustainability during this year's edition.
Therefore, this huge international event organised by UBM EMEA, will constitute a platform on which to reveal the latest breakthroughs and novelties within the field of drug research and marketing. There will be sessions and seminars on animal health, biopharmaceuticals and natural extracts, as well as informative meetings on emerging markets in this business sector.
