Presentation delivered by HKRITA on their award-winning oxo biodegradable synthetic textiles
Concurrent forum covers extensive topics in the global nonwovens industry
Messe Frankfurt’s new nonwovens event, the China International Nonwovens Expo & Forum (CINE – supported by Techtextil), opens this week and combines a trade expo and industry forum. The three-day event features products including machinery and ancillaries for nonwovens, nonwovens and nonwoven products, raw materials and chemicals for nonwovens, and industry-related services. The concurrent forum will address the latest issues, both China-specific and global, in the nonwovens industry through seminars conducted by industry experts.
Nearly 100 exhibitors are confirmed to take part across an exhibition area of 6,000 sqm. The event takes place at Shanghai Mart from 14 – 16 October.
Presentation delivered by HKRITA on their award-winning oxo biodegradable synthetic textiles
The Hong Kong Research Institute of Textiles and Apparel (HKRITA) will target nonwoven raw materials suppliers and nonwoven products manufacturers with their award-winning oxo biodegradable synthetic textiles at CINE. These fibres are one of the latest industry technologies, and received a gold medal with jury’s commendation award at the International Exhibition of Inventions of Geneva earlier this year. This project makes use of natural wastes such as scrap metal residues and soap to produce effective degradable additives at low cost. The fibres can then be used in the production of disposable and degradable products such as hairnets, masks and isolation gowns. Regarding the prospects and potential of taking part in the fair, Ms Yan Chan, Director of Business Development of HKRITA claimed: “CINE provides a good opportunity to meet industry counterparts within the rapid growing nonwoven business. We look forward to establishing new business relations in the event.”
Exhibitors from Mainland China are also seizing this opportunity to showcase an extensive range of nonwovens. A number of these are prominent in overseas market, such as Europe, North America and Southeast Asia, and produce high quality goods which are compliant to international standards. They will demonstrate their nonwovens in various fields, including medical, hygiene, construction, biomedical, aerospace, radiation protection and more.
Concurrent forum covers extensive topics in the global nonwovens industry
Other than providing sourcing options to buyers, the concurrent forum will be an ideal platform for show participants to learn about all-round information of the worldwide nonwovens market. Topics that will be covered include:
* Development of the Chinese nonwovens industry and its position in the global market.
* The nonwovens market in North America – medical, filtration and geotechnical.
* Development of the Chinese disposable hygiene products market and its consumption trends.
* Cost and performance – nonwovens products as substitutes for traditional materials in automotives.
* Chinese medicine policy and the development of the domestic medical textiles market.
* Progress and prospects of electrospinning.
* The development and forecast of high temperature flue gas filtration materials.
Product groups featured at the fair include machinery and ancillaries for nonwovens, nonwovens and nonwoven products, raw materials and chemicals for nonwovens, and industry-related services. The increasing demand for nonwovens in the medical and hygiene, environmental filtration, infrastructure construction and new energy sectors in China over the last two years has led to this wide range of products being exhibited.
China International Nonwovens Expo & Forum (CINE – supported by Techtextil) is organised by Messe Frankfurt (HK) Ltd; the Sub-Council of Textile Industry, CCPIT; the China Nonwovens & Industrial Textiles Association (CNITA); and the Association of the Nonwoven Fabrics Industry (INDA).
