Tank Storage Asia 2015 experienced a record-breaking 40 per cent increase in visitors through its doors, reaffirming its position as the leading event for the Asian tank storage industry. The event, which took place on 29 & 30 September at the Marina Bay Sands, Singapore, also recorded a sizeable 50 per cent increase in exhibitors compared with last year.

It is very rare to experience such phenomenal growth in an industry like ours and I am just so thrilled that my team and I got to be part of this. We are pleased to be able to announce that due to this year’s success, we are moving to a bigger hall on level 1 for 2016, along with 72 per cent of our suppliers who have already rebooked stands on the spot at the show. The showfloor was buzzing with activity, the footfall to exhibitor’s stands was huge and the speakers were insightful and inspirational at the same time. It really has exceeded all expectations.

Tank Storage Asia welcomed industry professionals from all over the globe, covering 52 different countries, with 97 percent stating they would recommend the show to a colleague.
Jan-Roelf Pinkster, Business Development Manager (Asia) at Fischcon was one of the many senior figures and key decision makers who attended the show. He remarked: “This was my first time at the show and I really enjoyed it. I made some good contacts and found a possible business partner!”
Vincent Low, Commercial Manager at Stolthaven Singapore Pte Ltd was in complete agreement: “Judging from the turnout on both days as well as visitors to the exhibition, it has been a very successful conference and exhibition. The networking sessions spread over the conference provided an excellent opportunity to meet up with customers, suppliers and exhibitors.”
Exhibitors also found the show to be a huge success, with a phenomenal 72 per cent rebooking their stand on site for the 2016 show. Darren Hughes, International Business Development Manager at Concrete Canvas Ltd said: “We had multiple meetings with the engineers and technical managers of some of the largest operators in the industry, from Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Japan and India to name a few. These have all been appointed out to our Distribution network and I am very confident they will result in firm orders before the end of 2015.”
Juan Keuzenkamp, Sales Manager at CTS (Far East) Pte. Ltd also experienced a great show, creating numerous strong business leads, stating: “Some absolutely fantastic leads, not only from Singapore but also from Indonesia, Malaysia and Australia.”
Tank Storage Asia’s strongest ever conference programme played a key role in the success of the 2015 show, securing a huge approval rating from the delegates in attendance. Polly Liu Zetong, Mechanical Static Engineer at Shell Eastern Petroleum was impressed with the conference programme: “I really enjoyed this event. There were a great variety of vendors and speakers on offer, plus the pace and duration of the conference was just right. The programme covered a wide range of topics, which was fantastic, and it was also great for networking with other business partners.”
Leading authorities explored an array of crucial industry themes within the bulk liquid storage sector including the change to trade flows in Asia, creating storage space and looking at the region’s future forecasts.
Hiroji Kojima, Assistant General Manager at Tokyo Marine Co., Ltd commented: “I’m new to the industry so I came to the show to look for new business and products. I will definitely attend again next year. I really enjoyed the Oiltanking conference session on storage developments in Greater Singapore – I learnt a lot.”
