Madrid, 29th November. Once again this year, with a view to generating business opportunities, FITUR has undertaken an ambitious Hosted Buyers Programme for the thirty-third staging of the fair. This programme consists of a carefully-selected group of guest visitors made up of leading representatives of the tourist industry who have high decision-making power. The guests have been selected based on the proposals of the companies, bodies and institutions taking part at FITUR 2013, in accordance with their promotional and marketing interests. On this occasion, around 200 buyers from around the world have been invited to attend the fair.
In order to mark their attendance at the event, FITUR will organise two forums where they can attend a series of pre-arranged meetings and appointments between representatives of supply and demand. In this respect, they will be able to attend the Third Hosted Buyers Workshop, which is open to all exhibitors who would like to promote their products amongst professionals from other continents. Meanwhile, INVESTOUR for the Americas is a specific programme that has been designed to facilitate business and exchange between companies and bodies from the American Continent and foreign buyers.
When organising both forums, the requests of exhibitors and buyers will be analysed in order to draw up a timetable that matches their shared interests, based on the corresponding meetings that are to be held during the course of FITUR.
These trade meetings have proven to be highly effective at previous editions of this programme. Specifically, around 1,800 trade meetings were organised at FITUR 2012 as part of the different Workshops that are traditionally staged within the framework of FITUR: INVESTOUR for the Americas, INVESTOUR Africa and the Hosted Buyers Workshop.
