Anticipated 10th China International Water Business Summit to promote water industry development
Over 20 Chinese provinces and cities to join “National Excellent Water Conservancy Scenic Area and Construction Enterprises Display Zone”
Relocating to the New China International Exhibition Center (NCIEC) in Beijing, Water Expo China 2015 is scheduled to be held from 18 – 20 November. The show will occupy 20,000 sqm of exhibition space, welcome 300 exhibitors from 26 countries and regions. The fair is approved by the Ministry of Commerce of the People’s Republic of China, and is organised by Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd and the Chinese Hydraulic Engineering Society.
To facilitate sourcing, seven thematic zones will be featured at the show. They include:
- Sponge City and Water Ecology Planning and Construction Display Zone
- Water Conservancy Scenic Area and Water Ecology Zone
- Water Conservancy Development and Achievements Zone
- Shanghai Water Engineering Association Pavilion
- Water Information, Automation and Apparatus Zone
- Pipes and Pipelines, Pumps, Valves and Accessories Zone
- Water Business, Country Pavilion and Brand Zone
Anticipated 10th China International Water Business Summit to promote water industry development
As a highlighted event of the fringe programme, the 10th China International Water Business Summit will be held on 19 November and feature a main forum plus four sub-forums. The event is jointly organised by Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd, the Chinese Hydraulic Engineering Society, Division of Chinese Hydraulic Engineering Society, and Science and Technology Promotion Center of Ministry of Water Resources. Governmental officials, decision makers from leading enterprises and R&D experts are invited to deliver in-depth analyses of China’s water industry. Content to be covered includes:
Main forum
Promoting water industry developments and ensuring water safety Introduction to and analysis of water policies, advanced technologies, market outlook and innovation mechanisms.
Sub-forums
1. Water business industry developments and construction of sponge cities LID (Low impact development)
Discussion of the reform and strategic development of the urban water business, standardised management of supply and drainage, advanced technologies for pollution control, investment and financing systems of the water business, and sponge cities LID.
2. Modern information technology and water resources informatisation
Analysis of national policies on information consumption, smart cities, cloud-computing, Internet+ and big data. Also to be covered is China’s “Thirteen-Five” development planning that will highlight water resources informatisation, resource integration and information safety. Lastly, the latest IT applications in the water industry will be introduced.
3. Essential technologies for water transfer projects
Explanation of the theory behind the interbasin water transfer project operation, long distance water pipeline technologies and applications, concrete cracks repairs and anchorage technologies and applications
4. Water conservation and water environment management
Idea exchange of relevant water policies, innovative management models, case studies and the promotion of hi-tech solutions.
Over 20 Chinese provinces and cities to join “Water Conservancy Scenic Area and Water Ecology Zone”
Another focal point of Water Expo China 2015 is the expanded “Water Conservancy Scenic Area and Water Ecology Zone”. It serves as an effective tool for professional platform for technical exchange, trading, and investment and business discussions. To date, water resource authorities from 20-plus Chinese provinces and cities have confirmed to organise pavilions and showcase the latest developments for their scenic parks in this zone. Participating geographies include Anhui, Fujian, Gansu, Hebei, Heilongjiang Hunan, Shandong and Zhongqing. Additionally, business meetings will be organised onsite to draw investments from interested enterprises to enhance resource integration, market exploration and quicken modernisation of China’s scenic areas.
