Many updated services and benefits abound at this year’s show
Organisers are eagerly preparing the show details and arranging a multitude of additional and advanced benefits in an effort to make Automechanika Shanghai even better than years past. Higher service standards for exhibitors and visitors alike will enhance the overall experience to make selling and sourcing that much more efficient for everyone.
In advance of the exhibition and as a new value-added service this year, visitors pre-registering online will receive a free admission badge through the mail, which is aimed at making the check-in experience at the new venue faster and easier. Additionally, research through various local and overseas visitor service centres was utilised to provide assistance to past and specially-invited visitors in pre-registration. Pre-registered visitors no longer need to queue to receive badges and may enter the halls immediately to save valuable time and improve the overall experience.
The exhibitor searching system will be available online two months before the show and once again at the information counters onsite to assist visitors in locating their targeted exhibitors much easier, saving valuable time and effort.
As an added benefit this year, the show organisers are assisting exhibitors and visitors in traveling to Automechanika Shanghai with airfare, hotel support and visa services, etc. For the first time, exclusive flight discounts are available for registered exhibitors, buyers and their traveling companions with Cathay Pacific Airways and sister airline Dragonair to Shanghai.
To further aid exhibitors and visitors while in Shanghai, organisers are offering a travel guide this year with detailed descriptions of local sightseeing spots, restaurants, local weather reports, visa applications, onsite facilities, etc to provide a better understanding of the city as well as the show.
Automechanika Shanghai’s official travel agent will provide assistance with acquiring the necessary invitation letter for the Chinese visa application and can facilitate hotel reservations. Foreign exhibitors and visitors entering China may be required to apply for a visa and comply with health requirements upon entering.
In addition to the universal services provided to exhibitors and visitors, special privileges and concessions will be provided to premier professional buyers invited to join the exclusive Premium Buyers Club. As part of the VIP service, Premium Buyers Club members enjoy pre-show and onsite privileges and many more members have been invited this year. Members may inform the organisers of their target product and service requirements in advance and they will then be matched with recommended exhibitors for their consideration. This will facilitate a more efficient and fluid use of time and networking possibilities. Premium Buyers Club members consist of high-quality global buyers from the entire industry chain, including top management of purchasing departments from manufacturers, importers, distributors and agents making it the largest show to date with endless business opportunities.
In addition to the many onsite privileges, a vast fringe programme will be organised as an additional highlight to the show. To better serve the demand of both exhibitors and visitors and provide a comprehensive overview of the industry’s latest news, the organiser joined hands with more organisations of different industry sectors to offer about 45 events onsite during the show period. Online pre-registration is available for interested parties to reserve seats for any of the events in advance to enhance the visiting experience.
To assist attendees in the new venue during the exhibition period, show organisers have provided comprehensive upgrades to make the onsite facilities friendlier for conducting business through digital electronic devices with complimentary WiFi service throughout the halls. This will allow for a connection through the Automechanika Shanghai website, mobile applications and social media platforms, including WeChat which has a newly-launched micro-website page in both English and Chinese to further expedite business success.
In order to entertain the largest crowd of visitors this year, the organisers also reinforced the catering services by introducing more dining locations and food options at the fairground, including a 10,000 sqm food court offering a variety of both Chinese and Western cuisine, with the ability to accommodate 2,000 people at one time.
Attendees may also enjoy more accessible transportation options this year with complimentary shuttle service available within the vast exhibition halls. Additionally, there will be shuttle services between the exhibition centre and official hotels as well as to and from the exhibition centre to Hongqiao transportation hub with connection to international flights and high-speed trains into other major cities and regions of China.
