Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 2nd of November, 2015: The Big Entertainment Show kicks off in its 8th edition this Tuesday 3rd of November at Halls Number 7 and 8 in the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre. The Big Entertainment Show this year introduces new pavilions and holds many new additions to its program to meet the needs of industry professionals working in the Media and TV content, character and brand licensing, and digital games development and publishing. The event witnesses a 70% increase in its exhibition size, and it is expected to attract more than 4,000 trade visitors over the two days of the show.
The Big Entertainment show is a vibrant event that combines “MYCONTENT”, “Dubai International Brand Licensing Fair”, and “Dubai World Game Expo”, and it attracts TV broadcasters, digital game developers, creative agencies, investors and licensors from all parts of the world to the Middle East. The Show also brings together representatives from TV stations and broadcasters, production companies, distributors, agents, licensees, game developers, game publishers, investors and government officials all under one roof.
The highlights of BES 2015 will include expanding the portfolio of Dubai International Brand Licensing Fair by adding a dedicated Franchise Pavilion. The pavilion is attracting over 25 leading companies in the sector of food and beverage, health and beauty, and investments amongst many others. In addition to the Franchise Pavilion, BES 2015 will also host a dedicated Producers Pavilion which is a dedicated arena that will provide a great opportunity for local producers to network with key industry professionals from the local and international markets and discuss business prospects in a captive environment. On the game side, the Indie Game DevFest is organized to support independent developers to showcase their talents in developing games.
The event’s agenda features number of activities including the Entertainment Content Summit, which will focus on content production in the region, and the Dubai World Game Summit that will cover important topics including female’s role in game development, game design, and smartphone and tablet game sessions. In addition, BES 2015 will also host the Licensing Seminar that will highlight the rise of brand licensing in the MENA region and its effect on retail and the Franchise Seminar that which will focus on franchising opportunities in the region.
The Big Entertainment Show witnesses a remarkable participation from more than 130 companies from 55 countries like the UAE, South Korea, China, Egypt, Bahrain, Mexico, Argentina, Russia, Lebanon, Morocco, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, India, France, Germany, Austria, United Kingdom, Sweden, Turkey, the United States and Japan. In addition to that, the event will host national pavilions from Philippines, South Korea, Malaysia and Kingdom of Morocco.
The Big Entertainment Show (BES) is scheduled to run until 4th of November, 2015, at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Centre – Hall 7 & 8. It is organized by INDEX Conferences and Exhibitions Organisation Est. – member of INDEX Holding, and it is supported by the Dubai Culture and Arts Authority, Dubai Festivals & Retail Establishment (DFRE) - Modhesh World, International Licensing Industry Merchandisers Association, Gulf Radio & TV, and Arab Asian Entertainment Content & Licensing Alliance.
