Oberboihingen/Istanbul – “PaintExpo Eurasia is developing very well and has become more professional this year” – this is the conclusion arrived at by nearly all of the exhibitors at the third trade fair for industrial coating technology. Its representative offerings throughout the entire process sequence for liquid painting and powder coating drew 2446 visitors to the 3rd trade fair for industrial coating technology. They came to the event with a great need for information and numerous projects. For the exhibitors, this resulted in high-quality leads and concrete business transactions.

At its third edition from 15 to 17 October 2015, PaintExpo Eurasia considerably expanded its significance as the information and procurement platform for industrial coating technologies at the boundary between the orient and the occident. 102 exhibitors from 21 countries presented products and services for liquid painting and powder coating ranging from pre-treatment right on up to quality control. 2446 expert visitors gathered information regarding these comprehensive offerings during all three trade fair days. Roughly 700 additional visitors who attended the concurrently held STT Eurasia Surface Treatment Chemicals and Technologies Exhibition took advantage of the opportunity to gain an overview of current developments in the field of painting technology. And thus the Eurasian offshoot of the leading international trade fair for industrial coating technology had a total of 3142 visitors.

High-Quality Leads and Projects, plus Concrete Business Transactions
The visitors brought lots of concrete projects along with them to PaintExpo Eurasia. “We’re exhibiting for the first time at PaintExpo Eurasia, but we visited the event in 2013 and we can see that it’s become considerably more professional. A broader spectrum is now represented and the booths are more attractive. We invited our customers from the region well in advance, including Fiat, Renault and Ford Otosan, and they all visited us at the trade fair. Beyond this, we were also able to establish interesting new contacts. We’ll be back again for the next event”, sums up Jürgen Ridder, managing director of Dürr Systems Ltd. Sti.

And the exhibitors weren’t impressed alone by the large number of visitors, but rather by their technical know-how and their high levels of decision making authority as well. “I’ve been participating at PaintExpo Eurasia since 2011 – this year for the first time with my own company – and the trade fair has developed very nicely. There were considerably more qualified visitors this year, thus leading to intensive discussions and making it possible for us to establish valuable contacts and conclude two business deals during the trade fair. Participation at the event was successful for us”, reports Ahmet Marangoz, managing director of Ema-Tech Industrial Coating Systems Ltd. in Turkey. Udo Reeh, key account manager at LacTec GmbH in Germany, speaks of highly positive development: “I was on hand at all three trade fairs.

Visitor numbers have grown to such an extent that we were constantly in meetings for the entire duration of all three trade fair days. And we had a good visitor mix from various industry sectors. Amongst other things, we’ve been able to launch projects with companies from Iran and Saudi Arabia. We got to know both of these companies here at the trade fair.” Dr. Joachim Hug, sales manager for automotive systems at Eisenmann Anlagenbau GmbH & Co. KG in Germany, drew similarly positive conclusions: “Our products met with great interest and we’ve discovered that companies from Turkey and Iran have a strong propensity to invest in modern technologies. We were able to discuss projects nearly to the point of final decision-making with two companies, and we scheduled further meetings and presentations with others. We also established contact with suppliers and service providers from the region who are important for us.” John Richardson, automotive marketing manager at Finishing Brands UK Ltd, was entirely satisfied with his company’s initial participation at PaintExpo Eurasia: “Turkey is an important market for us and we’ve received lots of interesting RFQs here. The investment in our trade fair presentation has paid off.” Adam Mitchell, marketing director at Pollution Control Products Co. in the USA: “Our first appearance at PaintExpo Eurasia was highly successful. We established contact with numerous companies from various industry sectors in Turkey, as well as from the Middle East and Western Europe. I assume we’ll be back again for the next event.”

Due to the positive development demonstrated by PaintExpo Eurasia and the good leads, there’s no question about participation in 2017 for Patrick van Noten from Pyrox bvba in Belgium. And the same can be said of Detlev Rupprecht, product manager at Louis Schierholz GmbH in Germany: “The quality of the visitors rose sharply this year, and concrete projects were involved. Quantity was also very good. Fortunately there were four of us here at the booth.”

This makes it plainly apparent that PaintExpo Eurasia is regarded by the exhibitors as an important information and procurement platform for companies with in-house painting operations from Turkey and the MENA region (Middle East and North Africa). Beyond this, the trade fair has evolved into a meeting place at which suppliers of industrial coating technology from various sectors and countries exchange ideas and experience. And thus it’s no wonder that numerous exhibitors have already made firm plans to participate at the next PaintExpo Eurasia, which will be held in Istanbul from the 12th through the 14th of October, 2017.
