PEA with NEO to step up proactive strategies on November 19 with 3 signature shows

The Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) and N.C.C. Exhibition Organizer Co., Ltd. (NEO) together with the Thai Photovoltaic Industries Association unveil Thailand’s potential as the hub of energy-saving technology and innovation through 3 signature trade shows which are “PEA presents EcoLightTech Asia”, “Solar-Tech”, and “C-Tech 2015” from 19-21 November 2015 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center under the concept “Energy-Saving Innovations and Technologies for Entrepreneurs”

The Queen Sirikit National Convention Center; Mr. Sermsakul Klaikaew, the Governor of PEA; Dr. Twarath Sutabutr, Director-General at the Department of Alternative Energy Development and Efficiency, Ministry of Energy; Mr. Sakchai Pattarapreechakul, Managing Director of NCC Group; Dr. Dusit Kruangam, the President of the Thai Photovoltaic Industries Association; Mr. Nopparat Maythaveekulchai, President of Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau; Mr. Utis Chanchenchop, President of Illuminating Engineering Association of Thailand or TIEA attended the press conference for “PEA presents EcoLightTech Asia”, “Solar-Tech” and “C-Tech 2015”. In addition to the manifestation of such great cooperation, distinguished guests at the press conference were able to see innovations in energy saving, for instance Smart lighting group; Plant growth LED bulb, Color-changing LED bulb, Long-lasting LED bulb, Solar product group; Futuristic solar panel for all area with high performace, C-Tech product group; VRF innovative products and oil free centrifugal chiller from the leading exhibitors.

Mr. Sermsakul Klaikaew, PEA Governor stated that apart from the duty to supply and distribute electricity, PEA also has the responsibility to encourage the efficient use of energy, together with the development of energy-saving technology to achieve the sustainable energy consumption for the future. One of the executions to carry out these missions is the “PEA presents EcoLightTech Asia”. This trade show is held consecutively for 3 years in a row to follow the international roadmap of the United Nations that designated the year 2015 as the “International Year of Light and Light-Based Technologies” in order to raise the awareness of the global community in the importance of light for daily and future living. The roadmap also aims at environmental conservation, holistic energy saving, correct and practical energy-saving steps for industry which is the foundation of sustainable social and national development. PEA aims to use these events as regional models for energy-saving technology events, and to elevate Thailand as the hub of energy-efficient technologies and innovations, pushing Thai industry to a compete in the approaching ASEAN economy in this December.

Mr. Sakchai Pattarapreechakul, Managing Director of NCC Group added that this year N.C.C. Exhibition Organizer Co., Ltd. as the main organizer of these shows received so positive feedback from exhibitors around the world who are interested in displaying their innovations that the 3,000-squaremeter showcase area is fully booked. The expected number of visitors is 5,000 from countries such as the Netherlands, Japan, China, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, the UAE, France, and Thailand. The revenue from the trade during the show is estimated to be up to 200 million baht. The concept of today’s show “Energy-Saving Innovations and Technologies for Entrepreneurs” stems from the demand of industrial operators who wish to use less energy in order to reduce production cost, especially energy bills from lighting, air conditioning, cooling and other electrical appliances.

The “PEA presents EcoLightTech Asia 2015” will be held together with the other 2 new shows which are the “C-Tech 2015”, gathering all energy-saving products in cooling systems for instance cooler, air conditioner, and temperature controller for industrial operators, and the “SolarTech 2015”, comprising of all products, services, and counsel regarding solar energy for industrial sector. This is going to be a large platform for solar panel manufacturers, and manufacturing tools from leading exhibitors across the world. These three shows, consequently, will be the most comprehensive gathering of all cutting-edged technologies and innovations for energy saving that best suits the demand of operators who wish to prepare for the future competition.

Interesting highlights in the events are, for example, Energy-Saving Showcase, an exhibition space for various technologies and innovations in energy saving that visitors can apply in real life, Energy-Saving Conference and Workshops, where over 10 interesting topics in energy will be discussed, and visitors can attend free of charge, and Energy-Saving Advice Clinic, a counseling center for operators, and those who are interested in energy cost reduction for both households and industries.

Dr. Dusit Krua-ngam, the President of the Thai Photovoltaic Industries Association said that the cooperation between the Thai Photovoltaic Industries Association and NEO to hold the “SolarTech 2015” is a good sign for new entrepreneurs, and businesspeople who wish to learn and start business in solar energy, to directly negotiate with manufacturers and plant owners. At the same time, manufacturers or distributors who wish to expand markets could take this opportunity to present their products, innovations, or technologies in solar energy to target customers from different industries. Most importantly, the ultimate objective of this show is to strengthen Thai entrepreneurs’ potential in production budget management, especially in terms of energy, in order to create profit and sustainable business growth.

Mr. Nopparat Maythaveekulchai, President of Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau said that this year, TCEB launched the ASEAN Rising Trade Show campaign or ART, underlining the theme, 'Think Big, Go Beyond', with the aim to strengthen the country's position as the leading exhibition platform for ASEAN. In addition, TCEB commits to facilitate the improvement of Thailand's international exhibitions to be a key national economic driver.In 2015, TCEB strives to drive the Thai exhibition industry forward, with the aim to strengthen Thailand's leadership position as exhibition platform of the ASEAN region, through three key strategies -- upgrading the Thai exhibition industry, providing financial support for international marketing activities; and expanding ASEAN Mice Collaboration network to capture new markets beyond the AEC.
