The industrial automation community has shown impressive interest towards the 2016 edition of SPS – Industrial Automation Fair Guangzhou, which will again be held at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in China. The event is scheduled to take place from 8 – 10 March and nearly all exhibition space has been confirmed. The show will feature a comprehensive showcase of the latest industrial automation products including drive systems and components, sensors and IPCs, industrial software, robotics technology and much more.
The organisers aim to further strengthen the show’s exceptional reputation for gathering the world’s leading brands in industrial automation technology. The three-day event will cover over 40,000 sqm of exhibition space, occupy four halls and expects to welcome more than 500 exhibitors and 43,000 professional buyers. Guangdong Robotics and Smart Factory Pavilions debut with cutting-edge products and solutions
With increasing labour costs and growing demand for precision and digital manufacturing in China, the “Made in China 2025” plan that was announced in May 2015 outlines the country’s latest trends for its manufacturing industry and the direction of future industrial upgrades. Acknowledging the importance of the Guangzhou fair and to capitalise on the current industry revolution, renowned industry associations and alliances have confirmed their participation by forming industry pavilions at the 2016 edition.
The Guangdong Association of Automation will present the Guangdong Robotics Pavilion for the first time. Made up of 12 exhibitors and occupying over 600 sqm of exhibition space, the pavilion will display the most advanced robotics technology in South China, offering a diverse collection of products that cater to buyers individual sourcing needs. Leading brands in the pavilion include Googol Technology, the Guangdong Province Intelligent Robotics Institute, Guangzhou Asialand System Control, Guangzhou Qifan Industrial Robots, Guangzhou Rising Technology, the South China Intelligent Robotics Innovation Institute and others.
Smart manufacturing is one of China’s largest initiatives to quicken the country’s shift to less labour-intensive processes. To raise awareness of the current industry trend and enable manufacturers to gain a better understanding of the benefits of this technology, the Smart Factory Pavilion will make its first appearance at the fair. Organised by the China Science & Technology Automation Alliance, various smart factory concepts, products and solutions will be on display.
Additionally, experts representing their company within the pavilion will be invited to share their insights and experiences in a series of case studies. Topics cover key concepts including vertical production units, intelligent production lines, smart factories and intelligent manufacturing systems will be highlighted.
Concurrent events present business opportunities and new market intelligence
Concurrent events have played a significant role in SPS – Industrial Automation Fair Guangzhou. With support from notable local and overseas alliances and associations, seminars focusing on “Industry 4.0” will be one of the key highlights at the 2016 fair. Professionally advised by Dr Reinhard Hueppe, former Automation Division Manager of ZVEI, Professor Mario Pacas from Siegen University, and Professor Du Pinsheng from Phoenix Contact, the seminars will cover the industry’s latest trends and applications. Experts representing Balluff, Cognex, Contrinex, Epson, IHS, Phoenix Contact, Staufen, Tongji University’s “Industry 4.0 Lab” of Shanghai and others are confirmed to share their knowledge on the topic.
Furthermore, the Industrial Connectivity Technology Seminar and the Sensor and Measurement Technology Seminar will also be held concurrently with the fair. Hosted by the OPC Foundation and advised by Dr Gerhard Weissler, Consultant of AMA Association of Sensor Technology respectively, the seminars will touch on the development and latest market trends of corresponding industry sectors in China.
