Tank World Expo 2016, the only event for the Middle East and African tank storage markets, has finalised its speaker line-up. The conference programme will host 20 leading authorities from the bulk liquid storage sector, including companies such as OTTCO, Orpic Logistics, Burgan Cape Terminals, CITAC Africa and Fujairah Oil Terminal.
Tank World Expo, which takes place at the Dubai World Trade Centre on 12 & 13 April 2016, provides industry professionals from all over the world with the opportunity to listen and learn from a series of highly-practical and educational seminars, delivered by the best and brightest from the tank storage sector. The programme will cover everything from developments in Oman and future developments in Fujairah to oil prices and the African bulk liquid storage sector. It will also include an opening address from His Excellency Al Kaabi, Assistant Undersecretary for The Ministry of Energy at The United Arab Emirates.
There will be a strong focus on Oman throughout the 2016 conference programme, reflecting the transitioning marketplace. Andrés Suárez, General Manager at Orpic Logistics, Oman, will present an overview of the Muscat-Sohar Pipeline Project (MSPP), and discuss Oman’s potential to become a logistics hub.
Maintaining this focus will be Said Al Mawaali, Project Director at OTTCO, who will be presenting the latest developments at the region’s largest storage facility in Oman. Roderick de Rooij, Commercial Manger at Oiltanking Odfjell Terminals Oman, will also look at Oman, discussing the future outlook for the storage market in the region. He will outline how to capitalise on the trade routes between Asia and Europe, whilst analysing the region’s demand for storage capacity.
Abdullah Zeren, Market Risk Manager at Aves Ic ve Dis Ticaret A.S, will change the regional focus to Turkey, and the recent developments in the Turkish storage sector. He will provide a brief overview of the local market and the local sanctions and restrictions. He will also explore the demand for storage and trade routes, touching on the growth plans at Aves storage terminal, before analysing the growth of the region’s biodiesel sector.
Africa is another major focus for 2016, with Amrita Sen, Chief Oil Analyst at Energy Aspects, examining regional supply, demand, trade flow and downstream capacity across the Middle East and North Africa. Following the African theme will be Gary Still, Executive Director at CITAC Africa, who will outline how to assess storage capacity and infrastructure across Africa in relation to product flow. Muziwandile Mseleku, CEO of Burgan Cape Terminals will also discuss the region, looking at the opportunities within the African bulk liquid storage sector.
The Tank World Expo conference will also feature specialist technical sessions. Per Cato Roed, Managing Director at BMT Asia Pacific will cover the use of simulation and modelling in the design and development of bulk liquid storage facilities, while Riyad Sulaiman, Capital Investment Planning Engineer at Saudi Aramco, will take a look at advanced analytics for terminal investments. He will also discuss scenario planning, rational valuation under uncertainty, and real options analysis.
