Sanjiao CBM Project Listed as Shanxi Key Construction Project for Two Consecutive Years
Hong Kong, 9 March 2016 -Leading oil and gas explorer and developer Sino Oil and Gas Holdings Limited (the "Company", together with its subsidiaries, the "Group", Hong Kong stock code: 702) is pleased to announced that the Group's Shanxi Sanjiao CBM project ("Sanjiao CBM Project") was listed as one of the key construction projects in Shanxi Province for two consecutive years. According to the announcement of the List of Key Construction Works in 2016 recently issued by the Office of Shanxi People's Government, the Government of Shanxi Province confirmed that coalbed methane ("CBM") project is amongst the eleven key construction works. The Group's Shanxi Sanjiao CBM project ("Sanjiao CBM Project") has been listed as one of the key CBM projects. Relevant government authorities shall create favorable external environment for project establishment to ensure that key projects are constructed smoothly so as to unleash investment effectiveness as soon as possible.
To include Sanjiao CBM Project as one of the key CBM projects in Shanxi Province again has showcased that the Government of Shanxi Province highly recognizes all aspects of works of Sanjiao CBM Project. The overall development plan ("ODP") of Sanjiao CBM Project was officially approved by National Development and Reform Commission last year. The Approval signifies that the Sanjiao CBM project will soon, in accordance with the ODP, commence the sizable development and production with an annual capacity of 500 million cubic meters.
Riding on the supportive policies from national and local government to CBM industry and Sanjiao CBM Project, the group will actively put forward the sizable construction work of the project, rapidly enhance the production and sales of CBM, thereby, to contribute to the 'Gasification for Shanxi' and the development of CBM industry.
