HONG KONG --(ASIA TODAY)-- The 12th edition of Paperworld China has changed its dates for the 2016 show based on the feedback of last year’s visitors and will now be held from 20 – 22 September 2016 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre. This three-day event features the latest products and innovations of the industry and includes exhibitors from several overseas countries and regions such as Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Korea and Taiwan.
Approximately 460 exhibitors are expected to showcase the latest merchandise and ideas in the stationery, office and artist supply sectors. As one of the leading international trade fairs in China for the industry, several prominent brands have confirmed a return this year such as Dokumental, KIKY, Simbalion, Polar Bear, TPPS, among others. The exhibitors will present their products and services in an expansive 24,000 sqm of exhibition space.
Creative Pavilion becomes official project under Shanghai Creative Industry Association
The hobby and craft industry has grown rapidly and expansively in China in recent years. As a result, an increasing number of shopping centres feature hobby & crafts products and materials. Joy City in Shanghai and Eslite in Suzhou are among these shopping destinations. Joy City has two levels of its 9-storey centre specifically catering to stores focusing on handicraft workshops and materials such as leather making, custom-made albums, plant terrarium, metal works and many other crafts.

The Oriental Culture zone is showcased within Paperworld China as a means to show the nuances of this ancient civilisation’s art and methods. The zone also aims to connect museums, designers and manufacturers to work together on projects for cultural preservation. This concept is not only for Chinese culture, but also for other Asian countries with unique cultural craftsmanship.
