Dubai,18th May 2016 -- (ASIA TODAY) -- Dubai Drink Technology Expo has concluded today its 8th edition after 3 days of networking activities between companies displaying their latest technologies and trends in the beverage industry. This year was marked with the participation of more than 100 companies in the field of beverage manufacturing, processing, packaging, and machinery.
Dubai Drink Technology Expo has also hosted the 5th Global Water & Beverage Technology Congress which addressed the pressing topics in this field that included: Competitive Advantages through Innovative Production Technology, Innovations in Packaging, Caps and Closures Future, Global and Regional Trends in Beverages, and many more.
DDTE has witnessed this year the launch of a new product in the ME region, which is the PureLine Ultraviolet Energy Optimised (UVEO) disinfection system. Designed for disinfecting process water in the food, beverage and brewing industries, the PureLine UVEO offers a very high level of biosecurity while also reducing operational costs. Powered by ‘UVEO technology’, the new generation PureLine UV systems deliver up to 60% less power usage than conventional, equivalent UV systems, meaning lower energy use while still delivering effective water disinfection at required flows – all with a single medium pressure lamp.
Moreover, the Arab Asian Beverage Alliance announced at a gala dinner held yesterday the results of the Middle East Beverage Awards that was given out to companies with different profiles to encourage them for more innovation and development in the beverage production. The Award Competition was held in conjunction with the Dubai Drink Technology Expo and in cooperation with Index Conferences and Exhibitions – member of INDEX Holding.

The event is supported by the International Society of Beverage Technology (ISBT), the American Beverage Association, TEA board of India, Arab Asian Beverage Alliance, UAE Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Dubai Export Development Corporation, Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA), and the Dubai Department of Economic Development.
