13th Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology opens June 9

The Guangzhou Electrical Building Technology fair is set to hold its 13th edition from 9 – 12 June 2016. Located in Halls 6.1 and 8.1 of Area A at the China Import and Export Fair Complex in Guangzhou, the fair will host over 200 exhibitors from around the world.

The fair has drawn attention from leading industry associations and enterprises. Renowned exhibitors confirmed for the 2016 edition are Bittel, the China Smart Home Industry Alliance (CSHIA), Citygrow, Eastsoft, EnOcean, FANTEM, GVS, HDL, HEIMAN, Huarui, nice cloud, ORVIBO, Panasonic, POVOS, Sation, Uiot, Vanhi, ZF, ZKTeco and the Z-Wave Alliance. These brands are ready to present their latest technologies and solutions for the building eletrical, intelligent building and smart home markets.

Seminars gather prominent speakers to share insights on intelligent building and smart home development trends

A key highlight of the 2016 fair is the full schedule of concurrent events which gathers some of the most influential speakers from the building industry. Backed by steadfast support from industry associations, this year’s fair has organised 10 seminars covering nearly 50 topics. The events will be categorised into three themes: intelligent building and smart home standards, intelligent buildings, and smart homes and smart hotels.

Intelligent Building and Smart Home Standards

Backed by influential domestic and overseas standards organisations, GEBT will bring back popular forums on intelligent building and smart home standards to offer the latest information on technology applications and development trends. The forums aim to provide better communication and facilitate integration between different standards and systems. Participating associations and topics to be discussed include:

* EnOcean Alliance
Topic: EnOcean Batteryless Wireless Technology for Intelligent Buildings and IoT Experts from the alliance will present innovative EnOcean-based products and EnOcean-enabled buildings. Their objective is to demonstrate the advantages and benefits of the EnOcean batteryless and wireless technology.

Topic: IoT Standardisation, Become Smart City, Building, Streetlight and Backbone Network The seminar will present LonMarks’s open, multi-vendor control systems for intelligent buildings, smart cities and smart streetlights under the IoT era.

The implementation of smart technologies has added value to the building industry and enables it to further expand. The industry has potential to grow in areas ranging from individual applications of smart technologies to the construction of smart cities with the IoT and cloud centres. Summit on Innovative Intelligent Building Technology Driven by Smart Cities 2016

Co-organised by the Intelligent Engineering Branch of China Exploration and Design Association, the summit will gather representatives, experts and project managers from renowned corporations to discuss topics surrounding green building and energy-saving technologies. Through case sharing, the seminar will also touch on technological developments of smart cities and intelligent building-related applications to promote industry development.

Smart Homes and Smart Hotels

Complete smart home systems are able to accurately detect and analysis changes in the living environment to facilitate more efficient use of connected home appliances through wireless communication. The boom and increase in the variety of smart home products is facilitated by the development of sentrollers, big data and cloud platform technologies, control interfaces, and growing demand for people-oriented systems.
