Singapore --(ASIA TODAY)-- The inaugural DiMiMED Asia, the conference on Disaster and Military Medicine will be held on the 31st of August, co-located with MEDICAL FAIR ASIA (MFA), the region’s premier medical trade fair. The conference organiser Messe Düsseldorf Asia (MDA) has been staging previous iterations of DiMiMED Asia at MEDICA, the world’s largest medical trade fair based in Dusseldorf, Germany. MFA will take place from the 31st August to the 2nd of September at The Sands Expo & Convention Centre at Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
Since its inception three years ago, DiMiMED has grown into an internationally recognised conference focusing on current issues in military medicine and disaster medicine. The number and variety of disasters taking place all over the world have shown that it is absolutely essential for civilian and military medical services to join forces to provide optimum on-site medical care during and in the aftermath of emergency situations.
With civilian medical services and the medical services of armed forces increasingly being called upon to work together to deal with disasters, DiMiMED provides a much needed platform that promotes global cooperation by bringing together civilian and military experts from around the world to share experiences, hold discussions and build contacts. The subject-orientated involvement of our industrial partners helps raise awareness among participants of further opportunities for cooperation.
Among the many issues the conference will focus on are Disaster Management on Land and Sea, Traumatology and Air Evacuation as well as Infectious Diseases and Force Health Protection.
Some of the highlights of the conference include:
