Interior stylist Tina Hellberg has been given the assignment to design the Trend Restaurant at Formex using this fall’s three trends: Shape of Things, Authenticity and Sensory. For the second time a famous chef will also be making a guest appearance, as Leif Mannerström adds one of his favorite dishes to the menu.
At Formex Trend Restaurant - Nordic Me, visitors will be able to relax and enjoy their meal while being surrounded by an inspiring exhibition. Tina Hellberg is interpreting this fall’s trends, which have been identified by the Swedish Fashion Council. In her interpretation, she wants to display contemporary materials and color combinations that work in interior design and are not only attractive on a mood board.
“To be here at Formex, highlighting the work of the designers and making a personal selection is a fun, yet complex, assignment. Partly because there is so much to choose from, but also because it is easy to miss the one that does not draw attention to itself but is a true treasure. Substance is important to me. I am not really into things that are just made to be fun, even if I can appreciate design with humor, such as a rabbit lamp. It is when objects are mixed that things start to happen. Composition is important when trying to achieve a certain expression in stores, at exhibitions and even at home,” says Tina Hellberg.
Tina Hellberg is an interior stylist and lives in Stockholm. She focuses on material, colors and preferably something from nature. www.tinahellberg.se
Formex will be held on August 24-27, 2016 at Stockholmsmässan.
