The event will bring together the well-known RISI's Asia Pacific Nonwovens Symposium and a new Tissue track for the first time. Presentations and discussions will focus on hygiene market developments and trends in China and Asia Pacific region as well, under the theme of ‘Hygiene Markets in China – From Now to 2020.’ The symposium will offer:

Presentation highlights include the following:
1. A view of the evolving global nonwovens market place will be offered by two speakers who have a very wide-ranging perspective: Li Lingshen, President of the China Nonwovens & Industrial Textiles Association and Dave Rousse, President of the US-based industry association, INDA.
2. RISI's David Katsnelson will provide insight on key industry factors that have an impact on the Asian and Chinese economies. He will discuss the future price of oil, China’s swing from a pure export orientation to more of a consumer economy, how Beijing will navigate the current softness in economies at home and abroad, and a look at demographic shifts that will affect the industry over the next 10 years and beyond.
3. Esko Uutela, RISI’s Principal Economist for Tissue, will offer the results of many years of experience analyzing trends in supply and demand in global tissue markets and products. He has seen industries and companies rise and decline, and now he focuses his analysis on the Asian tissue market.
4. The crucial topic of how Chinese nonwovens markets and hygiene product design will evolve in the future will be addressed by Benny Deng of Beautiful Nonwovens. One of China’s fastest-growing spunlaid nonwovens producers will talk about how new product quality demands from the hygiene sector will be met by the country’s fast-evolving industry.
