
The 2016 Taiwan International Beauty Show & Industry Forum was held for the first time at the Taipei International Convention Center on August 2-3.
The debut show was joined by 40 exhibitors from around the world, including top brands from Japan and Israel as well as Taiwan's major beauty and cosmetics companies.
As a part of the Taiwan government's efforts to develop the ASEAN markets, the show organizers made special efforts to attract buyers from the Southeast Asia countries. Altogether, the 2-day show was attend by 530 buyers from 22 countries, including Malaysia, Japan, Myanmar, China, US, Philippines, Singapore, Vietnam, Ukraine, and Thailand.
One big highlights of the show was the first-ever Beauty Industry Seminar.
The event's panel of speakers included Fashion Guide chairman Vincent Hsieh, who spoke about using digital media to maximize brand marketing.
Also speaking at the seminar was Hair O’right International CEO Steven Ko, who shared how he created the world's most eco-friendly hair care brand.
TENART BIOTECH CEO Michelle Sung also joined the panel, offering her secrets and insights into using creative marketing to develop a unique beauty brand.
Meanwhile, on the sidelines of the event, nearly 500 face-to-face procurement meetings were arranged fro 189 international buyers from 19 countries to meet with quality suppliers from Taiwan.
Due to the overwhelming success of the show and forum, the organizers have confirmed the next edition of the event for 2017.
