Dec. 26, 2012 (China Knowledge) - China plans to kick off construction on 6 million affordable apartments in 2013, said the Ministry of Housing and Urban-Rural Development yesterday.
Jiang Weixin, Minister of Housing and Urabn-Rural Development, said that China will complete 4.6 million affordable apartments in 2013.
According to the Ministry's plan, China aims to build more than 7 million new affordable apartments and complete more than 5 million units this year.
In the first ten month of this year, the country started building 7.22 million affordable homes with total investment of RMB 1.08 trillion, while 5.05 million affordable houses were completed during the period.
